Hi guys! :) I only started vaping this week. I know that its still very early days, but I reckon I'm gonna have trouble finding e-liquid that I like.

I bought a Dekang mild tobacco flavoured e liquid with my starter kit, but it was way too mild. It didn't really have any flavour at all.

Today I have 3 new Kanger MT3 tanks and 3 new e-liquid. Two are Wingnuts Fizzy Lemonade and Pink Tiger (orange, raspberry & ice/mint) And I got one Highbrowvap in Watermelon.

But I think they all taste like air-freshener! :( Will seeping them make much of a difference, or will they always taste this sickening?

Also, I've used my 3 new Kanger MT3 tanks, one for each flavour. Will I be able to use these tanks for other flavours? Or can I only use one tank per flavour?

Thank-you! :)

Yep I have tops off bottles, I hope that air freshener taste goes away. This is my 3rd day of not smoking cigarettes. I really wanna stay of the cigarettes, but I'm finding these juices sweet and sickening.

I guess its all trial and error.

Will I be able to clean out my 3 new Kanger MT3 tanks and use them with different flavours? Or is it one tank = one flavour?

Thank-you! :)

By all means clean them, some soak the coil and wick part in Vodka or Everclear to get rid of any previous juice, others just rinse them under water.

One reason we recommend sample packs is that it gives you many different juices to try, and with a smaller size bottle you won't be out much if you decide you don't like the juice. Juice is a funny thing, what one likes another won't, and what you like this week may not appeal to you next week. So sample packs and small bottles are the way to go when trying new juices.

distinguish between steeping and breathing. cap on vs cap off.

if the taste is foul enough, I would suggest to be looking for some new juice. I have a "deal" I purchased, 50 ml for $19.99. It was foul when I bought it, now 5 months later it is still foul. cap off for 2 months, and it has sat for the last 3 months.

wash with water and then vodka, usually the taste goes away. others have suggested vinegar. I haven't tried the vinegar, so I cannot vouch for that.

There are so many differs liquids out there, that you will certainly find something you like. I agree with the above that sample packs are the way to go in the beginning. Once you find a few you like, you can order in larger sizes and save money that way.

Eventually, if you think it's something you might like to do, you can learn about making your own juice. It is significantly cheaper to do so (after the initial outlay for supplies). I've been making my own liquid for at least a year now and it's very cheap. I may be an anomaly in that I have one flavor I love and vape all day every day.

I just recently bought a sample pack from The Vapor Room, 10 3ml samples. I just felt it was time to try something new after sticking to my all day vape for so long. I don't know if I will like any of them, but I might get lucky with one or two.

To IPS, Good luck with finding and keeping off the smokes.
I love vaping but I think I'm buying too much, I been vaping for 114 days and the amount of batteries and tanks and juices I have is getting silly, but something new is always coming out or there is a new juice I want to try, when do I stop?
Have you find some good flavors?

I've ordered 4 so far and found only one that is vap-a-ble!!! Dark plum flavor, Rum Carmel, no good. But I can enjoy a bit on RED Bull falvor. I need to order some more samples!!

And the great Juice Quest begins again. Yes, finding a juice or juices that you like is a challenge for all of us at first. What vapes good once, doesn't necessarily lend itself to an all day vape (ADV). Some members seem to change juice frequently several times during the day, others find an ADV. Taste is subjective, so there's no right or wrong, only experience. Many members talk of finding "That One Juice" that does it for them. I had a very hard time finding such a juice. I was so frustrated that I took up DIY, in that pursuit, and found several good varieties. I found out the direction I wanted to go in by ordering right at seven or eight different sampler packs from different vendors just to see what "niches" appealed to me. Turns out I like the fruits, Danish and an occasional dessert flavor. I make the best Cinnamon Danish in the world. It's my all day vape.

When it comes to steeping, all juices require this because flavor compounding takes time, darkness, and coolness...a closed cabinet works well. Breathe first 24 hours (top off), steep two days to two weeks. Remove caps every 7 days to breathe and shake. Juices darken, or age over time, and usually only get better. But, if you don't like to vape "mint", or something more than a few vapes, no amount of time is going to help you, proceed to the next Juice Quest. YMMV. Congrats, welcome, Happy Juice Quest, Power Up and Vape On!

...but it was way too mild. It didn't really have any flavour at all....they all taste like air-freshener! :(

I was advised that smokers have no tastebuds.
That initially I should stick to strong flavours like coffee, mint, cigar or pipe.
And not to worry too much about quality, as I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

........... seems cheap. Anybody tried them?
but they charge shipping, I don't know of any e-liquid suppliers who are cheap and don't charge shipping.

Taste is so very subjective -- what tastes good to one person may taste like crap to someone else... Would suggest looking into DIY -- not that expensive really... Don't need a lot to get started -- just a few flavors and some nic juice to mix them with... Start off simple - single flavor (maybe 2) and work your way up from there... One thing with steeping/resting/what-ever-you-want-to-call-it is that time heals some wounds, but not all... Tobacco flavors are notorious for needing aging whether store-bought or DIY... I had a half dozen I made up that just tasted horrible right after they were made... Set them aside and, basically, forgot about them for a month -- what a difference! Nice and mellow...

I have the tops off my 3 new e-liquids. The scent off them is really strong! (especially the watermelon one! yuk!) When I walk into my bedroom it smells like I have a cheap air freshener in the room! Its overpowering.

My Son just got home from work & he even asked what the weird smell was. (my Son is pretty switched off at times. Normally he wouldn't notice if he came home and the house was painted canary yellow! ;) So if he noticed then it shows how strong the scent is!)

Roll on tomorrow so I can put the lids back on the bottles!

I've just ordered a 10ml bottle of a tobacco and Carmel flavour liquid. I like tobacco and I like carmel, so fingers crossed! :) I would have ordered more, but I'm broke after all I've bought this week. Lucky once I find an e-liquid I like it won't be that expensive.

Hi there Ructions and welcome. This place is wonderful!

I have ordered from ECBlends online and really love the juice. They sell 2.5ml bottles cheap and have great flavors. I frequently use these small bottles as flavoring for my tobacco blends. I also mix throughout the day: I refill my clearo when it is about half full because it prevents the gurgling and the flooding that happens when they get low. When I do that I usually add a new flavor. I like to add vanilla or a chocolate base to the tobaccos at that time. I usually mix the fruity flavors with each other such as adding pomegranate to the raspberry.

I read on here about "vapor's tongue" which can happen when you vape a lot and your taste buds get a bit tired. Taste just goes for a while. In addition, when you first give up the stinkies, your taste buds are pretty well trashed from smoking. Taste comes back and the liquids just get better and better. At this point, I would suggest some of the stronger flavors. I love the RY-4 with the hint of caramel and vanilla, the USA Tobacco, Virginia and Sweet Virginia. Unfortunately, everyone makes these with their own recipe so no two taste alike. It is a lot of trial and error.

I have a blueberry tobacco that I HATE and a cherry tobacco that runs a very close second in the hate category. I add a strong flavor to them so I don't have to throw them away. I have found that VapeDudes Razzle Smint and VaporLeaf's key lime saved those two hated flavors from the trash. That Key Lime is amazing but a bit strong by itself.

Hope this is of assistance for you. This is a great alternative to smoking and more fun than emptying ashtrays ever was!!! Watch out for the obsession! It will sneak up and slap you in the face with a new toy every time you turn around! I now have about five different clearomizer designs to choose from and 4 different batteries. I am slowing down but this forum gives me so many ideas....I see a beautiful wood mod in my future, and I don't even have a crystal ball.:p
