I got some Spurberry juice from MBV and it tastes great but has way too harsh of a throat hit. I have set my vision spinner on the lowest setting and that does help a little but it actually hurts my throat to vape it. Is there anything else I can try so that I can use this eliquid? I love the taste, so it will be sad if it goes to waste. It is 12mg 50/50 pg/vg.

if you happen to have some pure VG you can add a little to it. If not maybe mix it with another fruity juice that is less harsh. I mix my flavors all the time sometimes you come up with something really good. I have a strawberry that had way to much throat hit. So I mixed it with cheesecake that I wasn't crazy about. Now I'm loving the vape and no wasted juice.

It tastes great, just really hurts my throat when I vape it. Could it be something else and not the juice? My vision spinner is on the lowest setting and it made it hurt less but still hurts.

Okay, after a while of vaping it the throat hit doesn't seem as harsh now. Could it be that since I used a new atomizer head in my mini protank that it needed more time to soak in the juice? It still has a little kick but now it isn't so bad. Sorry, I am so new to all of this.

I was going to ask you when the last time you changed the coil was but yea it could have needed more time to wick up.

What you described is what others call a dry hit. It's a harsh, scratchy, almost burning sensation at the back of your throat. You still get vapor, you still get flavor, but it's irritating to say the least.

So yeah, you should be good now that you've given the new head time to soak in the juice. If you vape too fast for the coil to wick then you're going to start getting dry hits again, which is possible in a mini PT2 with a 50/50 juice, so if it starts happening again just slow it down, or do a couple of unpowered hits to get some juice to the coil before you hit the button.

If you get that feeling after letting it sit for a good while then you may need to try toning down the nicotine level, which is the predominant factor when determining throat hit. There are of course other things that contribute, but nicotine is the #1 throat hit source.
