That's right. This site is now blocked by the company I work for. Or, more accurately, blocked by my company's webfilter provider.
It was blocked because this site apparently falls into the category of tobacco !!!

I have already submitted a re-evaluation, but I thought i would let you guys know just in case there is something that you guys can do on your end.

Here is exactly what the webfilter violation says (cut and pasted):

"You have tried to access a web page which is in violation of your internet usage policy.

URL: www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/
Category: tobacco

To have the rating of this web page re-evaluated please click here.

Powered by FortiGuard."

In the upper, right corner there is a company logo that says:
Fortinet : Real Time Network Protection

I will keep you guys up to date on the outcome of the re-evaluation.

Just wondering if you work for the state or federal government. They work pretty hard at blocking their employees from using their bandwidth and equipment in anyway that is not work related.

One of my buds works for the state/federal government. He inspects potatoes, but they give him his own laptop and internet access (he works from home on all his paperwork). He recently had a bunch of sites blocked with a new software program that they had installed.

I got the reply from the webfilter company and it is a big NO. They are keeping it classified in the Alcohol and tobacco category.

Yes I can use a proxy. I usually use vTunnel to surf other sites from my company PC, and used it yesterday to link back up to this site after the violation. The only problem with it is that I can not post anything while using vTunnel. It returns that "message must be longer" thing error.
The only way I was able to post yesterday at all was I just hooked up my company Blackberry to the laptop and used it as my internet access. But I can't do that all day.

In answer to the other question, yes and no. Yes, I work as a sub-contractor for the government. The Dept. of Homeland Security. More precisely, I do work for the DEA, CPB and Border Patrol. But we are not on a government internet connection. The company I work for also contracts out to other Governments as well. We do work in Mexico, Canada, Singapore, UAE, Jordan, Australia and a couple of places in Europe.
