Huffington post Business blog--Problem is the author is the Chairman of the board at The national Center on Addiction and Substance abuse at Columbia University. This is the media we need to educate.
I'll post my comment after the link--as usual it was MUCH longer, but responses are limited to length.

my comment:

Addiction preventability? Is addiction preventable? Is prohibition prevention? If so, please cite precedent. The suppression of e-cig availability is based on business and profitability. The Fed gets 85% of every cig $. Health care stands to lose big money to e-cigs. I thought big pharma was concerned about $ loss from their smoking cessation products--wrong it's: 75% less activity in radiology, surgical, pharma, O2 tanks, mobility devices, etc. due to less emphysemic, cancerous, and coronary patients needing same due to smoking. There is more $ in addiction to smoked tobacco than other forms of nicotine. The drug itself, while addictive, is relatively innocuous--tantamount to caffeine. Why assist fear mongering and use the low-hanging fruit of children being harmed to advance your suppositions? There is a well-paved highway to addiction. You're not closing it, you're filling pot-holes. Prohibiting e-cigs doesn't address addiction, it secures the profitability of sickness and death. I smoked 2pks/day for 30 yrs. until I starting vaping a year ago. The sight of smoking nauseates me now. I use custom e-cigs (mods) and make my own nic juice. My Dr. told me 14 months ago I was crossing the line into emphysema, never to cross back. Same Dr. two weeks ago said my lungs sounded as though I had quit smoking 100% 2 years ago. That is how my health has recovered, why take the opportunity from other smokers?
