Definitely need to get you a backup!
That is an EXCELLENT "introductory" rig...
Now that you have a working setup..you can order from fasttech and wait for the "cheap" backup to arrive...
$24.99 EGO-CE4S 6-in-1 Variable Voltage Rechargeable 1100mAh E-Cigarettes Set with 0.55" Screen - double e-cigarettes / 2.4
I recommend getting some CE4S or higher clearomizers (they are rebuildable, you can change the coils if they burn rather than throwing the whole shebang away)

Oh..fasttech has them too! Thanks for the information Warhawk. I've only had my 1000 mAh ego-C upgrade for a week with a KangerTech EVOD and I'm already thinking about going to a VV with long battery life -- and the fasttech batts don't look so bad as a pretty cheap alternative -- better than the $28 for the Joyetech 1000 mAh twist I was thinking about for 1 battery a la carte.
Oh..fasttech has them too!
$14.27 EGO-C Twist 1300mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Battery - silver / 3.2-4.8V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping (in fact the little down arrow next to the "buy" button shows you ALL the eGo variations they have
1300 for 1/2 the price...only problem...you pay for the "convenience" of walking into a smokeshop...plunking down cash right then and there and walking out (notice the 2x markup!!!!!)...from fasttech, you order and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...then forget you ordered it...then one day a brown package shows up in the mail! Plus...if it's DOA from fasttech you have to get a report, send it to a location in FL, then they send you back a replacement...at the local shop you walk in...plunk it down...they give you a replacement on the spot
For $28 you can get you a APV rig from fasttech!
ok...for $10 more!
$39.54 iTaste VW V3.0 7-in-1 Variable Voltage Rechargeable 800mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set - vv-3.0 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

That's where I started. A week later I had my Vision Spinner 1300mah VV ego battery and kanger protank mini 2 in hand. The standard eGo-T battery is my back-up. Nothing wrong with those clearos, but I prefer my protank. I have a ten pack of clearos like that on the way from China, to sample new juices without having to wash my protank in between. On another note, I'm counting the days until I can afford better gear. You may be the same, maybe not. I would suggest getting at least another battery, as that one may or may not reliably last the whole day.
Beautiful thing about APV's...they DO THE MATH FOR YOU
Variable Wattage...you dial in the "power" you want...then set it and forget it...change out heads...it automatically adjusts for you! No more trying to figure out the math of VV which you have to do manually
APV's are where more experienced vapers usually end up...and there are MANY MANY MANY APV's out there ranging from those in my post to the mamma jamma pymp fly super rig Provari..I currently rock a $32.18 Vamo V3 from fastttech but I had to buy batteries and a charger (they do have a kit, but it drives the cost up)
Nice setup, be careful though, this can turn into a hobby.
Running wattage for normal folks (them sub ohmers are a whole critter unto themselvesI'm sure I will... Right now the 1000 mAh seems to be enough as I usually spend about 40-60 minutes vaping during a work day and my setup has lasted me a couple days without charging, plus I have a charger at work and at home. I'll probably wind up investing in another kanger appartus -- likely the Protank or protank mini as well as a couple more evods.
I will probably get there, but I wouldn't know what wattage to set it at -- I'm just now learning a little bit about the VV. Really, what I want to find is a VV with pass-through, lol. My next step, before I really look at new rigs is finding a juice that I love... right now I'm using Joye's USA Mix 16 mg, but doesn't quite sate my desire for a legitimate tobacco flavoring. I have Boba's Bounty and Flue Cured from Alien Visions ordered both at 18 mg. Once I find the juices I like, I'm sure I'll start investing in more tanks/clearos/etc to allow for variety without needing to clean each time.
... So many options...
Running wattage for normal folks (them sub ohmers are a whole critter unto themselves) is 6-7 watts...I have my Vamo at 6.5 and haven't changed it, well only once..when I put a new head on (cheapo Chinese CE4 at 2.2Ω head with the 3 thin wicks and it tasted "hot") dialed it down to 6.0 and vaped my face off!!!
Go to sleep silly...dream puffy white vaping cloud dreams!
I don't wanna break your brain..but this is an "ok" chart to start with...ultimately your taste buds will tell you where to stop on a VV rig
