seeing lots of kudos for fasttech, wish i had know about them before, would have saved me sheadloads of cash. any known problems with them?
shipping takes a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *pause for breath* OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time!

International regulations after some planes crashed due to Li Ion battery fires (two pilots died) now forces all Li Ion products from China to be re-routed to "the slow boat from China" rather than the 747 cargo freight aircraft...thus any ordering of items "other" than "loose" batteries (those batteries inside cases [eGo, MVP, yadda yadda] can go airmail) so modifying your ordering helps save the frustration of waiting for ALL of your order to show up...order your non battery stuff, THEN order Li Ion batteries (as separate shipment) and you should be good to go

That doesn't shock me at all... I work in logistics and beginning in January of 2013 or so, even domestic regulations on flying Li-Ion batteries (or items that have it like laptops), make it a real pain if over a certain amount are moving. If under a certain amount, it doesn't have any effect, but there is a threshold that can rule out flying it at all.

Stay away from Fasttech batteries, the little egos they sell are all knock offs and tend to fall apart, best one I had lasted a week and a half. The first fall the ego threaded head came right off. The regular batteries even the ones they falsely advertise as IMR are actually Lit-Ion, do NOT buy this! Last thing you want is something that reacts via combustion next to your face if a battery decides to act up.

Fasttech isn't all bad but you just need to know what to buy and what not to buy. Re-buildables, clearomizers, little tanks such as Protanks and the likes and other nic-knacks should be fine. Some buy juice I wouldn't bother the chances of spillage are pretty high and liquids tend to get stopped alot over customs. If you ever get into mechanicals Fasttech does sell some pretty cool ones but that'll come in time if you get into that.

That's an entirely satisfactory vaping rig to start out with and it will serve you well. Did you get a spare battery so you don't have to wait for it to charge? You may find yourself wanting to get more stuff, as so many of us do when we get into vaping. Vaping stuff can become a compulsion, and some of us get to the point were we are depressed if we don't have vapemail coming, and we have to order something just to have vapemail on the way. Some of us start cloud chasing, and go through a progression of hardware pretty quick. It happened to me, and I went through the array of hardware below in something like 2 months, ending up with the rig on the right.

Yeah, I'm not done yet... MUST HAVE MORE VAPING STUFF!!!

Am not far ahead of you :) I've started vaping about a week ago today, my first set up is an Ego C-twist with adjustable voltage & back up battery. I don't know how well you like it but I have not touched a cigarette since I started vaping; I'm officially hooked :)

The only thing I'll have to get used to is the limited life time of the cartomizers; though I have a wonderful little package coming my way with some rebuildable atomizers, drippers and a vv-mod which will probably satisfy my ever present need to tinker, hehe.

Look forward to seeing where your vaping "adventure" takes you and good luck :)

Already got vapemail coming eh? Heheeheheheeee! You ARE hooked! If you think you are done think again. See above photo for your future :)

Oh you like to tinker? RBA material down the road for sure.

Hahaha, yeah; my man is totally hooked, rebuilds his wicks and coils and giving me pointers here and there. He's the one who composed me a package, should be here either Saturday or beginning of next week. Admittedly I am antsy, can't wait to get my own personal perfect set up.

Not sure what RBA material entails, but I'm sure I'll be sharing my enthusiastic findings and progress till you all get tired of me :)

I'm making myself a rule... No fun new upgrades until I what I spent on mine and my gfs build is saved back based on the money I would've spent on analogs over the time period... It's been a week since I got my setup... One more week until I'm even. I hope I can wait that long :D
