i joined this site to post on one specific thread but come to find out i can only post here for my first 5 times?!?! so basically your forcing us to spam and post dumb stuff just in order to post on what u want to post... so this is my first and i guess there will be 4 more of these posts. DUMB

You must not have much experience with message boards. I run a non-related phpBB board and within one week of having it open I was already having 2-3 spambots signing up per-day. I eventually started having to approve each new member through an email conversation to make sure it was a real person, otherwise anytime I took my eyes off the board for a few hours I would come back to it being full of porn spam etc..

There's a very good reason why we limit new members to one specific forum. And spamming for the sole purpose of raising your post count is frowned upon. Slow down, participate, and welcome to ECF.

Captchas are finite and there is an active market for people to solve them and sell the solutions to spammers. Spam is a billion dollar multinational industry that requires more then one safeguard.

Captcha was broken years ago. Most modern spam bots can break captcha.
