This is why many here disapprove of generic/mystery batteries.

While not directly vape related, it has alot to do with li batteries in general.

Was it really worth it to save 2 bucks on a couple cheap rewraps and a bottom shelf charger when your house is burning down..

Side note to newer folks, invest in good batteries, if paying more irks you, and this may sound strange, but buy several and the more you put in rotation the longer they ALL last making them all cheaper in the long run.
I paid 12 bucks ea when my panasonics came out, 2 1/2 years later they run a vamo just dandy.

Be safe this holiday and vape on!

Chipotle.
I sort of knew this was going to happen or at least I saw it coming, after the initial wave of those "personal mobility platforms" hit the market I started seeing videos on Youtube with people showing the internals of a few models. Knowing that eventually some sub-par batteries and wiring would make their way in to one of these devices was just an educated guess, the way I see it as the competition between manufacturers heated up certain companies simply took the design and made their own device while sourcing the parts from whoever happened to be the bottom dollar cheapest parts supplier, probably ended up with some B-grade or C-grade batteries in those multiple 18650 packs and all it takes is one of them to die to put the extra strain on everything else around it.

Yes it was only a matter of time.

A battery is just a battery, and it can be used for many things.

I just learned that the Tesla S cars use 18650 cells... But hopefully for the price of those cars you can expect genuine, tested cells.

If I remember correctly, I think I read somewhere that the Tesla cars use VTC cells..slick little cars though. Hear they pack quite the punch

I hear the acceleration on the P85D can be easily compared to a commercial roller coaster at launch. I would not trust myself driving one of those.

Dig through the battery section, you will find my posts about teslas new mega plant.

a massive billion dollar facility designed by panasonic for building state of the art and proprietary blends just for Tesla.
