Thats cool. But the link doesn't tell a whole lot. It just says where to buy the supplies. And those pink Samsung ICR batteries...(I have one sitting in front of me) I assume is what you use to put in the box. They are 2600 mah.
2600 mah X 2 = Does not equal 10000 mah. Unless I missed something and there are other batteries in there.
I don't want to be *that guy* but ... what is there to "figure out" about this? The ego-usb thing is the long and short of this pretty much, that is really the significant device. this isn't a box mod per se, it's that adaptor.
I wonder what the specs are on that (current limit)?

Can't say it's anything special.. but I also see it as a battery charger for my wife's and my phones....
Getting the USB Ego adapter was just the reason I needed to order the boxes LOL
Was reading somewhere that the box used has a momentary power switch? What kind of USB powerbank has that? weird.
And if output is somehow limited to 2a ... that's gonna be kind of limiting.
I purchased these items about 3 months ago. dosent work for me. you press them button and the USB head stays on for 10 seconds then it doesnt work. think you have to modify it some how.
Finally received my 510/USB adapter today from china-sells and I can say it does work. You have to press the power button on the power bank and then push the button on the adapter or vice versa. It shuts off itself after 8 seconds. Not quite the one step process I was hoping for, but still a cheap mod nonetheless.
This is the way I am going. I have ordered a 2a powerbank with 4 2900mah Panasonic batteries which I intend to use on my Nexus 4 and 7 when out and about. Also ordered a Variable Voltage USB passthrough to use when close to a PC.
With a bit of luck they will pair together. If not then I will still use them for their intended use.
Got the full setup myself now. Yep.. It's a NoGo. Fiddly is the word I think. This is great if you need to have an emergency vape, but I wouldn't try this regularly.
On the good side, I've got two backup power sources now, and this does work with my 1 meter USB passthru VV device.
Would have been great to vape right off the box, but I'll have to cord it from here...
I am really bummed that it doesn't work very well. From reading the post on vapor joes it seemed so simple. The only thing holding me back was buying 4 more 18650 batteries. Oh well gotta move on.
