A Map of the Intertubez

For 4 days I was :( unable to connect. Cable man finally came today and fixed the problem with cable line. Don't you love Murphy's Law? Like why did this have to happen to me on a loooooong weekend due to Memorial Day when cable co. was closed in this town for the holiday? So according to this map, where was I? :)

Both of you are funny! Love artwork of Moon with black cat and LOLcat trying to connect me to internet.

While I was "off the map" I got confronted by a rattlesnake for the first time in my life while walking my dog, Shania, last Saturday night. She must have heard it and tried to pull me left sideway and then I noticed something on road. Could see it because it was under street light. When I saw that it was a snake rattling its tail with head up I nearly fainted, but composed myself quickly to pull Shania away from it...dragged her home right away! Damn! She is a big dog, she pulled and pulled because she was curious about rattle thing! Wow! I had no idea Arkansas had rattlesnakes. I moved here from native Florida. Thought rattlesnakes lived only in desert areas like Arizona.

Last November a wolf came up to upper deck because Shania was in heat before she was spayed that blew my mind. When I saw Rocky and Shania's crazy reactions I quickly got a large flashlight and shined on it. It ran off. I watched it running up the hill toward the forest. I got on internet to see if Arkansas had wolves. But according to internet wolves in Arkansas are supposed to be extinct. (yeah, stupid humans for killing them off! Cougars, too. Those were native to Arkansas.) I know what foxes and coyotes look like. This animal definitely was a wolf. Large and beautiful with brushy tail. A wolf native to Arkansas was much smaller, reddish so I don't know where this one came from.

So far since I moved to Arkansas I've been blessed with 1 coyote, several foxes, several wild turkeys, many deer, 1 wolf and now a rattlesnake. :D

It's good that you have Shania to look after you :)

Heaven's Here on Earth - Tracy Chapman

You can look to the stars in search of the answers
Look for God and life on distant planets
Have your faith in the ever after
While each of us holds inside the map to the labyrinth
And heaven's here on earth

We are the spirit the collective conscience
We create the pain and the suffering and the beauty in this world

Heaven's here on earth
In our faith in humankind
In our respect for what is earthly
In our unfaltering belief in peace and love and understanding

I've seen and met angels wearing the disguise
Of ordinary people leading ordinary lives
Filled with love, compassion, forgiveness and sacrifice
Heaven's in our hearts

In our faith in humankind
In our respect for what is earthly
In our unfaltering belief in peace and love and understanding

Look around
Believe in what you see
The kingdom is at hand
The promised land is at your feet
We can and will become what we aspire to be
If Heaven's here on earth

If we have faith in humankind
And respect for what is earthly
And an unfaltering belief that truth is divinity
And heaven's here on earth

I've seen spirits
I've met angels
Touched creations beautiful and wondrous
I've been places where I question all I think I know
But I believe, I believe, I believe this could be heaven

We are born inside the gates with the power to create life
And to take it away
The world is our temple
The world is our church
Heaven's here on earth

If we have faith in human kind
And respect for what is earthly
And an unfaltering belief
In peace and love and understanding
This could be heaven here on earth

I came home wed. and there was a three foot king snake in my bathroom. Pretty thing. I tried to pick her up but she was not having it. So I let her go about her business somewhere behind the washer and drier. After a mouse I think.
It is that time of year I guess.

Yikes! does your bathroom looks like this since you live in the Ozark?

Just kidding. I know how the Northerners love to sterotype us the Southerners! :D

There was some interest recently in a Christian group, is anything likely to come of that do you think?
Okay, yes, I went back to the first page, but I just noticed that the Christian group is the only one that is private. Hmmmm....what's that saying? Oh yeah, "Nothing changes under the sun."

Hi Sandy, Don't worry about the private part. That's just to keep down the roaming trolls and instigators that are everywhere these days. In an open forum with a religious title it just seems to attract atheists looking for an argument.
You're very welcome to join. Although I like it here more myself, there is only so much one can learn from religion.

I think it is way around. Usually it's Christians who are always looking for an argument. How about centuries of bloodshed and destruction? Spanish Inquisition as an instrument of religious persecution, torture and repression? They forced the Vikings to abandon their Odin/Thor religion, took Great Spirit Spirituality from Native Americans that led them to drinking because they had nothing to hold on? And many others. Hawaiians had Christian missionaries taking away theirs and they also tried to take away their native dancing/drums but their last Hawaiian King David fought to save it. Don't forget Holocaust done to jews, gypsies, homosexuals by Nazi/Hilter with Catholic Church's blessing.

Acharya S was threatened by Christians and probably still is (Archarya S is an author of several books on religion based on astrotheology, archaeoastronomy, history, mythology...) She showed many ugly and hateful emails from Christians years ago, but she doesn't do that anymore. She couldn't use her real name so used "Acharya S" which means "Teacher" until one of them managed to find out her real name and threatened her with her young son so they had to go in hiding. Now she uses her real name, but not full name which is just D.M. Murdock. She says she is not looking to convert people into atheists, but to provide people with what she found. She traveled all over and is a scholar. Look at people's comments to her.

I just found your site! You are the bravest woman in the entire world! I grew up roman catholic.... I have researched for many years the mysteries. Your research is so important.
So many conclusions I have come to reading books that are 100+ years old; you present in clear demystifying form. Thank you for courage it takes to bring light to the darkest topic in the world right now.
Watching you reminded me of the story of Hypatia, the last female philosopher and scientist who was slaughtered by Christian fanatics. My heart has always been shaken by the story.

Again I want to thank you. Your reasoning Is perfect. History is not as we now it. All history has been manipulated & rewritten. I find most people can not be reasoned with. We are now living in very dangerous times & will most likely awake to a very different world soon. Bless you for your mind, intellect & probing mind.
I agree with you.

Yowser !!!
FINALLY! My mind-Spirit can BREATHE ... released from strangleholds directed at me since 1952. You have given expression to what I have felt but could not find the words to express so clean & clear.
As a child I resisted the "normal indoctrination of 'Christianity.'" This was simply my Instinct ... though leaving me bewildered, hurt & confused until NOW. After rote Churchianity rituals, I was usually left with the feeling: "Where's the Love?" - - often heard but less often demonstrated.
Beyond that pale, I DO believe in Loving Truly.
I love your Loving Truths, Acharya/D.M.M.

Vince, I am not trying to pick an argument with you. Just to show you that usually it's way around. Recently a fanatic Christian shot to death a doctor who performed abortions...shot him at Church!

Hugs to you!

I agree totally Bryn, If you want an arguement just suggest something other then accepted doctrine.
I am a Christian only in the sense that I believe in Jesus, Not any religion. You are right, It's always been the fanatics pushing their beliefs and causing wars and death. Not what Christ would want. Fanatics have ruined every religion long ago.
Real Christians are on their own these days. But that's okay, God will guide each one in his own time.
