I remember those days Fran. I'v cut and split many a plie that size before I figured out it was cheaper to have it split. There's nothing in the world that burns as nice as wood in a fireplace. I love the sound and the smell. Not too keen on cleaning the ashes out though. Pine and fir is good but while living in Montana I switched to tamarack.
LD I pity you the job of that shifter. Might be easier to run it down to the tranny shop and have them do it for you.

Speaking of TV....The Evel One himself....Evel Kenevel tomorrow night night at 11pm on Spike....Damn straight the DVR is set for that too.....

Tonight's SoA is 2.5 hours Dee, I'll catch it when it comes back on at 12:30-3:00.
Katie took her car to the dealership this morning for winter maintenance and let them talk her into a $1500 bill
2005 Hyundai Elantra, she bought it brand new and it has only 5k miles on it. They changed oil, tranny, brake fluids, radiator flush, ac system flush...too many things to remember after I looked over the bill. I wanted to go down there and wring their necks!! I took it last fall and they did brakes and fluid, radiator flush...that was a good $400 of her bill right there.
Changed every belt, granted those wear from age, but geez they saw her check book coming from a mile away
I try to protect her from as much as I can, but I can't protect her from herself.

On some things the time you mess around trying to figure it out you could be making more money on something else while they're doing it.

Damn I just saw a special they were doing here that had all those fluids and new brakes that was around a $100.00. What did they do put a new tranny in it?
Oh I know. You took it to the dealership huh? Those guys do charge dearly.

If I had a dollar for every dog hair I vacuumed offin' Spike's seat I coulda' bought two or three new trucks....Mini Pins to me don't look like they'd shed much...Spike has very thick hair and dang if it doesn't get everywhere....I shampooed the carpets and scrubbed everything else in the interior as well...20 years old and looking almost as new...If nothing pops up unexpectedly tomorrow we will be shifting gears...Then I gotta insulate that dang beach floor and put a new metal roof on the body shop....and yeah....I'll be doing the work...unassisted more than likely....
I live very close to a girl who grew up right across the road from me....Married to a great guy...they had two kids....Tragically they lost their son at 18 years of age due too a car accident about 10 years back...Yesterday their daughter made them grandparents....WhoooooTooooTheWho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Stoked about that!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured that. Also a lot of people do that so as not to lose their new car warranty.
