Sounds good Dee. I just finished shredding chicken #2. Got 4 quart sized bags in the freezer, and will get that many more when I bag the one I just finished.

Tomorrow I have to try to get Katie's battery jumped. She left her interior lights on after voting at the crack of dawn yesterday. Yep, she's parked nose full forward in the one car garage

The rain and cold have set in again....

Saw a little wood heater online the other night....Kinda like one of those round kerosene heaters in appearance...No flue so I'm not really sure what happens with the smoke...Must be some kind of combustion process that produces no smoke....still not sure...The $4500 price tag kind of made me lose interest...was at the local scrap yard two days back and there was a wood heater in the for sale stuff...Uncle informed me he was looking for one so I went back and yeah.....SOLD!! was marked on the heater....

Those savron burgers are dang good...I dropped the pepper/onion content so the patties would stay together better...Now if I can remember too add the feta next time!!!!

My old ProV is wonking out....Started with an alcohol q-tip too the inside battery hot connection as preventative measure...That ended up in a lost contact somewhere...Everything fully cleaned to include a tube full of alcohol several times....assembled equals a no go....a good hard shake and she fires at will....That likely won't last long though...Can't fault it...truth be known it's a player in the most juice vaporized catagory...Still hate to see it's demise

That's too bad Dee...on the wood stove and the ProV.

I tried to tackle what should have been an easy job with Katie's car this morning (raining here too) but without proper tools, it turned into a cluster eff. No emergency jump kit, no battery charger, so I decided I'd just take the battery out, go get a new one. Simple, right? Not!

No sockets the right size to loosen the terminals, but I got them off with a pair of pliers. Went to honk the batt out and it's got a mount bolt way down in the bottom that I can't get to without an extension and socket.

Called the Hyundai Dealer where Katie takes her car for maintenance, told the guy in the parts dept. what the issue is and asked if I could borrow the tool needed. He put me on hold, came back about 5 mins later and said that he would send a guy out with a new battery, replace it, and since Katie was such a good client...no charge!! No labor, don't even have to pay for the battery!! YAY!

My suspicion on the freebie is that they looked back in her service record and found the battery still under warranty. The month is marked on the old batt, but not the year. But at least Katie's happy thinking she's really getting it free

The ProV just quits firing...shake the beejeusus out of it and it works fine....WTH??????????

Bov most places use a bar code on the battery nowadays...After that last charge fest from the dealer keeping Katy rolling is in their best interests...

The fuel pump on my Dodge diesel died a few years back....that thing was anywhere from $2800 too the $800 one on there now...Yeah it sat for a minute and squared up my tires really good....We'll not even get into the costs of those tires....the tires I tried unsuccessfully to balance today....Spinning on the balancer they looked like eggs....This is gonna take another while to sort out....In the mean time I'll be on yet another savings spree...Dammitt Bob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had some good luck today. Hubs has a prescription for enzyme pills for his Chronic acute pancreatitis that cost $620 a month. The cost is a real bummer with work being so slow. We've been dealing with a company something like Needy Meds out of Texas for a little over two months of paperwork and waiting. Today we got a 3 month supply of pills for nothing. WOOT!!

That's great news Fran!! I can't believe the cost of some meds! I used to get a couple of mine directly from the pharma companies. It's like dealing with the devil, but a necessity sometimes. I'd be in a world of trouble medically right now if I didn't have Medicaid. Does your hubby take anything for his hip pain?
