There's never been a single case of BrOb from smoking

That's not exactly correct. Per our good doctor, from the old thread we both read: ;)"Bronchiolitis obliterans is not caused by smoking, you are right. But why? Because smoking exposes the lung to a large variety of different toxins, which all together cause another kind of disease: COPD.
The incidence of COPD in smokers is up to 15%. The incidence of bronchiolitis obliterans by diacetyl exposure is extremely low. In fact, only few cases have ever being documented. Most commonly, diacetyl exposure causes a decline in lung function which can be detected by a reduction in FEV1. This is much more common that development of bronchiolitis obliterans. However, this can be easily misdiagnosed as COPD."

Once again, it's All About the Amount of the Substance in Question. Not if there is a Detectable Amount.

I love Kurt's take on the subject (he was a co-author on Dr. F's paper):

Donate to Dr Farsalinos' new study

And speaking of Kurt, anyone know why he's been MIA for so long? I miss him.

To me, this isnt about smoking vs vaping (thats a no-brainer IMHO), its about diacetyl potentially being bad for you and its presence in ejuice flavorings. What surprised me was the extent in flavorings other than butter.
Seriously! Marshmallow? wow.

He used to, nothing since October 2017.
Yes, I really do miss him. I conversed with him privately and in-depth on several subjects, primarily on the whole Temp/Aldehyde issue. He was a welcome breath of authoritative, non politicized information.

I havent heard from him in 2 years though, it seems he just disappeared. I dont see him much in the medical journals anymore either, where he used to publish regularly.

Although I'm on your side of the topic, it's biologically impossible to "fight" an infection in few hours. It takes at least 3-4 days, unless you're the wolverine ;)
So the few times that I had the chills and wrapped myself in a blanket and shook them off within a few hours never happened?
...but that happened so I'm going to Hollywood.

IIRC BrOb is irreparable.
Technically I had chronic bronchitis that has now been relieved.

When I smoked I couldn't take a single full inhale without coughing.
Within a few months of switching I noticed that I could take a few full cycles in-out-in-out...
Now I can take full cycles until I get bored of it & dizzy.

I've been procrastinating getting a full respiratory workup done.
I'll see if my cardiologist can order one before my next appointment.
