1. My husband drowned our car in oil. It's a total loss. We can't afford a new car. He needs a car to get to work this winter, as we live in Norway, and the scooter can't be used past october.

2. My favourite guinnea pig died. I know, I should not mind too much as I'm an adult, and she was old, and had had a good life, but it bummed me out big time. I cried all sunday morning, and each time I think of it I get a pain below my ribcage. Her name was Feestje ("little party" in dutch). She was the thinnest of all my pigs, even though she always commanded me to open the fridge and bring her treats. She was adorable. I miss her.

3. I did not get into the study I've been working towards for the last 2 years. I have all A's, and 1 B. Aparantly, this year, for the first time ever, every_single_person who applied to get in had all A's.

I've stopped crying, and started drinking.

vaping is helping. A lot.

Hi nora,

I've had all those things happen to me. But not all in the same week!

Losing a loved one and not being accepted for something you've worked on for two years would be a huge bummer. The car thing isn't nearly so bad. However, for practical reasons, it may be a good idea start planning for a replacement for the car. That's an achievable short-term goal that may help to focus your mind.

Good luck, and don't get sick!

Nora,

I am so sorry about your pet, it's always hard losing a family member.

What did your husband do to the car when you said he drowned it in oil?

It seems that you have been quite hard from three different sides by 3 substantial emotions. I know that it must not sound like much consolation, but I want to thank you for feeling so comfortable with your ECF family that you were able to share these thing with us.

My heart goes out to you for your loss and for the other bad things that have occurred in your life. We are here and will always be here for you to offer what we can to make your life's hardships a little easier if we can.

:)
