I don't want to spoil the fun and celebrations, but a few smoke-free weeks is still not enough to gauge success. Go back after a year or so and tell us about it. ;-)

I've slipped several times when I thought it's over. Good news is vaping definitely reduces the craving and cuts down smoking analogs. For me, like many others, I think, the reduction is significant and I no longer had to go crazy and go out in the middle of the night to buy analog cigs. A pack of 20 analogs now takes me about several days to finish, probably more than a week. It used to be a pack a day with the 25/pack KS. And for me, I consider my analog smoking life over. Smoking one or two a day is simply for comparison purposes and out of curiosity.

;-)

So glad to hear both of you are enjoying this new-found resource but especially happy about your mom!

I am just starting this also and my wife and mother-in-law have decided to join me with their own Volcano Magmas (510 style) kits and I've been very surprised at how quickly they both have adopted them. I suspect that as they all put more distance between themselves and tobacco cigarettes the less attractive they will be, just like what your mom discovered!

Great news and keep on vaping!!

Great to hear! I also started off with a Magma from Volcano and loved it. I wasnt really happy with with pre filled carts and switched to catomizers which helped a lot. My wife is due to have our first baby in 4 days, so that coupled with the cost of analogs here ($10/pack) really made me finally make the move. Volcano was a great company and resource to introduce me into vaping 2 months ago, and I can say that I have been completely analog free for 1 month tomorrow! I have since moved to an eGot-T with dual coil tank from Madvapes and am highly considering purchasing a Provari or Silver Bullet :p. My wife actually doesnt mind because it is improving the health for not only myself but any concerns she had with our new little girl. And with the money I have saved from buying cigs, buying more gadgets I will still come out ahead. Good luck to you and your family!

As a cigarette addict for 30 years, I am always delighted to hear of people's success kicking the habit using e-cigs or any other means really. E-cigs and the group support here at ECF were the only things that worked to end my enslavement to burning tobacco. Yours is one of those success stories that touches the soul of us all here. It helps those who may be having difficulty and reinforces all of our convictions to stay on track and to pass the word to all of our brothers and sisters still addicted.

Congratulations and Blessings for continued success!

You guys are the best here!! I love hearing others chime in that they've kicked the habit too. Thank you so much for all the encouragement!!

I'm working on my dad next - he lives out in the boonies with no internet, but we've got his kit in the mail, so cross your fingers, I'm going to have to be phone tech support for him LOL

Awesome!

This is an example of why I call it a pocket sized miracle. :)

That's exactly right!!!

I recently ordered a kit for my dad as well. He's already got emphysema, and that didn't stop him from smoking. He tried the cheapo e-cigs from smoke shops twice and hated them. I'm giving out positive thoughts every day that he finds the eGo easier and better, and that he puts down the analogs as well!

Mom and I are still at it, still haven't had a ciggy in another week. I looked down at the little banner today, and realized it's nearing 1000 cigarettes avoided - I think my jaw just about hit the floor. REALLY?? 1,000 cigs! It seems like yesterday I had the last one, and didn't enjoy it at all :D

Pocket sized miracles indeed :D

Congratulations to both of you! It is truly amazing.

My story is similar. I quit analogs after a 40 year habit. It was shocking how easy it was to make the transformation! In addition, my mother (who has copd) has managed to quit smoking as well. Although the damage from copd can't be reversed, it is my hope that its progression has been slowed enough to allow me to have a few more good years with my mother.
