So I literally built this today. It's a quad coil, regular coils, nothing fancy. Comes out to .2ohms. Using 26gauge A1 Kanthal.

P.S sorry for the .... picture

For a first build its not bad, especially for a quad. They'll get better with time, but I suggest taking a bit more time and care when setting up your alignment, trimming your legs, and watch the edge over wraps.

As long as it hits well, then it doesn't matter how it looks, unless you want to show it off.

Couple little pointers to mention off the build. First off, Kudos for going right into the deep end and doing quads first. Most people take it really slow, I like your style of jump in and make it work LOL. When you're wrapping your coils, make sure you maintain tension the entire time on the wire as you wrap around your mandrel. I can see a few of the end wraps lifted a bit, you want to almost over bend the legs a bit to make sure they stay nice and flat. Pulling on one leg with toothless pliers while holding the coil in place on the mandrel also helps to resolve that.

As EvlSmrk said, watch your alignment, you want horizontal coils to be a little more straight than what you have right now. Also make sure to trim the excess leads coming out of the posts. I can see there is some extra wire running out, and this can potentially cause shorts which we do not want to happen.

Overall, for a first coil build, and jumping right into it with quads, its definitely not bad, and if it vapes nice then even better. Just remember to not get frustrated with yourself when it comes to coil building. I have been at this now for several months, and I am still finding little tips and tricks to make each build cleaner than the last. Its all about practice and learning. Theres plenty of people here who will help guide you along this journey!

More pointer's... ... the direction that you have wrapped the top right and both coils on the left are good but the bottom right will give you slightly less room for your wick to fall down nicely into your deck, with less of a sever angle or being squeezed/choked between the last wrap and your deck the juice will flow better.

It looks like you are using ... pads?... instead of cutting strips try ripping a nice width off the pad and get i a nice consistent rolled wick through the coils, i say this cus i can see what looks like edges of the pad which may give you gaps and lead to parts of the coils glowing as they don't contact your wick properly.

After tightening up the screws on a coil i re-insert the mandrel that i wrapped on and give the coil a soft pull outwards from the posts to pull any slack out then i'll undo the screws re-position the coil to where it should be and then tighten screws back up.

You wanna get the coils in line or slightly above your airholes, leave a nice gap all the way around the coil for airflow and you should get good flav and clouds so long as you are as close to the air hole without actually touching so make sure you test for shorts with the cap on.

Jeez a ramble on some times but i thought it may help :D
