BWAaahahaha! A year?? Ha! I give you about three weeks, if that. :D
First you'll start mixing some ready-made juices together; that's the edge of the slippery slope.

Oooh, oooh ::waving hand in the air:: I've mixed ready-made juices together! Does that make me a DIYer? I swear I'll never do DIY, I don't have the time. Refilling cartos and washing and drying cartos takes too much time as it is. Not too long ago (did I really just start vaping in August?!) I swore I'd never fill my own cartos. I wanted the ease of prefilled. So I guess I should never say never, LOL.

Congrats! And I never considered it, but this list need not be linear. You are in grave danger of reverting to Step 5!

I think I need to copy your list to my vaping notebook so I can keep track of which step I've reverted to!

I love this thread!

I made a few newbie mistakes when I first started. I ordered capsules that I thought had e-liquid but were empty and I dry puffed on those for a while thinking my e-cigg was malfunctional. When I did order my first e-liquid, I ordered it too strong and got dizzy from using it. I've learned by trial and error.

LOVE IT!!! Nobody ever said anything worthwhile was easy! :toast:

Mystery Science Theater 3000!! Isn't that where you got your avatar nosmokie? Took me a while to remember the name (I think I got it right LOL). Been bugging me since I first saw it, knew I had seen him, the guy and 2 robots stuck in space having to watch cheesy movies and talking through the whole thing, very funny, but the name was stuck in the back of my head.

Sorry to get WAY off topic everyone, I just couldn't get it out of my head until I remembered heheh

To pacify everyone, Great thread, it's really made everyone's weekend, we are all now reminiscing about the journey to where we are with this wonderful new hobby. Thanks for that, nosmokie.

as a total noob...it's been 4 days now....I loved your list! It made me laugh and took away some of the overwhelmed feelings (because I'm obviously not alone, many others are experiencing the same things I am as I embark on my vaping odyssey).
I'm currently in the "waiting for the postal carrier" stage (except I know from tracking number he won't have my goodies until tomorrow and Wednesday--1st order was some juice to use in the "trial"-type kit I bought @ the strip-mall cig seller (has only 1 battery, 2 cartomizers & usb charger & was way over-priced); because the "trial" kit convinced me I wanted to explore vaping further, my 2nd order (a day later) was a starter kit with 2 batteries, 5 cartos, more juice, blunt syringe, etc. Thankfully a relative who recently quit smoking tobacco (after a mild heart attack) pointed me to ECF as soon as I mentioned I had bought that "trial" kit. The information here has been invaluable and saved me not only a ton of money (if I had continued with the strip-mall kit) and eliminated a ton of confusion/frustration that I experienced trying to sort through the massive number of e-cigs, sites, terminology, etc I encountered on-line. I don't think I would have made it this far this fast without ECF & it's members!! Thank you all!!

I simply must add another step, not sure if it is true for everyone, but it applied to me, so probably others too!

Step 6.5 Convert the World - This is the stage immediately following that first, most satisfying puff of vapor, in which you have the insane urge to go on a disciple's quest to switch over every single smoker you know. This stuff is so amazing, so wonderful - they don't know what they are missing! You randomly offer your PV to strangers in the street with full intentions of changing their opinion on the spot. You make extra copies of the articles you find on CASAA in case they want more information. You basically do everything a new religious zealot would do besides praying to the great PV in the sky... :D

As a guy who has been vaping a few days and is noticing the "ProVari" logo on his mod is nearly worn completely off while trying to determine if the experimental DIY juice he is vaping will be the base for his new cigar recipe, I approve this list...

And I approve ANYONE who has worn a logo off of his ProVari!

Perfect! Not sure who should get the honor of the title "Vaping Jesus", but you could maybe be "Sweetz the Baptist"?

<<<Waiting to hit the "Post Quick Reply" button. No offense meant here. Just spreading the good word. We're having fun here, no?
