I was thinking the other day about one thing I miss about cigars - that nice woody finish I got from so many. It got me to thinking about my NETs and my coffee extract. Could something similar work with wood? Is it possible to get a nice oak or maple extract through, perhaps, a warm PG/VG extraction?

Has anyone tried this? Or is there any reason this would not work? I'm sure there would be some natural sugars there, but that's true of tobacco leaves too, and NETs turn out pretty well.

The paper mills do it every day!
It was also done to make tannin's (sp) for tanning hides years ago also. I believe a form of aspirin also was extracted from the willow tree.

Yes it will work but when working with the dense woody parts alcohol works better making a tincture rather than water, but water will work and may just take longer.

I am not sure you will like the flavor you get but may need to ty different trees and younger parts of the tree. Do you home work as some plants are deadly!
