Threading question

I have a vamo v3 and have been using an evod tank. I recently purchased a kanger pro tank II as an upgrade for my setup. After a few days the threading on the inside of my vamo head seems to have stripped. I probably cross threaded it on accident but it always seemed flimsy compared to using the threads on the out side of the connector (forgive me for not knowing the terminology here). So my question is this: is there a glass tank bottom feeder that has roughly the same overall diameter as an 18650 type pv that threads on the outside of the head instead of the inside? The pro tank II looks so much better on my vamo than the evods do. What about the ego to 510 adapter I've seen on fasttech? Could this be a solution to use the inside threads without fear of destroying the next mod I get?

Yeah - that adapter goes the wrong way!!
And several people have searched and none of us can locate what you need - something to adapt the Protank's male 510 thread (that's the little one) to be a female EGO thread (that's the big one) which is what you need.
People have tried to use an "airflow adapter" - leaving in ON the VAMO to keep from further damaging the threads, then putting all devices, like the ProTank, on top of that. I bought one though, and it didn't really work for me - it was more like an airflow "on or off" contraption, with no real benefit.

I don't know of any good larger "clearomizers" or "glassomizers" that are EGO threaded...

That's interesting - and I never saw it before - BUT, none of those 3 adapters change the 510female to an EGOmail, which is what you need!

Looking again, you are right! It's getting date in the lay, sorry about that! But most people have solved it with an EGO to EGO adapter, or buying a tap and cleaning up the threads, just don't take anything off and on too often afterwards!

Actually - you know what's crazy, but I'm gonna try it, because - well crazy is just another way of saying "genius"?
While it doesn't LOOK it, the thread of the BASE OF A PROTANK (the thead into the TANK) is the same as the thread of the base of a Protank MINI. Which is - guess what? EGO.

So that would work - put a ProTank Mini base on a ProTank.
It'd look like this:

I can't fill it right now - i pulled the base of a full mini to take the pic!
What I don't know is if the ProTank will be sticking up in the air kinda goofy, or close enough to look good. I figure the EGO threading is more "stable" from the wider diameter, and a slight gap would be OK...

Out of stock, but if it works, miniprotank bases are here for $3

What the OP would be looking for is an eGo to eGo extender - which I don't believe exists. (yet)

No, they do make ego to ego adapters, but as has been said, they are not all created equal! You need to go to a shop and try it before you buy it to make sure it fits and functions on your device.

Vaporalley.com has the protank mini bases for $2.19.
They have 30 in stock at the present time.
They are listed under the Kanger tanks.
