THREADS FOR HCIGAR NEMESIS AND ATTY's THAT DON"T FIT & CURES FOR IT - Zenith V2 wont' thread into Hcigar Neme.

Hey guys!!!

I recently purchased my favorite atty of all times, the Zenith V2, and i bought it to run on my go to device the hcigar Nemesis.. Now the most unfortunate problem i have is that the atty doesn't properly thread onto the top cap....... sucks really bad, and i've been searching for so many solutions, becuase i know for a fact that nothing is "wrong" with either of the thread's it's just not compatable or w.e.... I've heard of problems with the neme (hcigar) and some thing just dont' work on it.... I was thinking if a tobeco or an maybe a different hcigar top cap would work.... I would love to hear if anyone else has a problem with atty's on the HCIGAR Nemesis. my atty's goes like halfway down and just stops, any combination of the two different devices with all combination of things works... ONLY the hcigar neme and the v2 doesn't fit... It's sooo sad becuase that's why i bought it.... to use my fav. atty with my fav. mod...

what do you mean by it doesn't fit? (descriptive and complete opening posts make for quickly responded to and well answered threads.) does it start to screw down but it doesn't want to screw down all the way flush??


If that's the case then look into the top cap of the nemesis at the spot where the air flow holes are. Is there a bit of metal shaving on the threading from where they drilled the air flow holes out? If so you can either try to buff it out (dremel works wonders if you have one, just be careful and take your time. Seriously go really slow or you will screw up the threading.) or if you have a cheap clearo or carto or atty with a 510 connection screw it down onto the nemesis cap. Go slow be careful and it can push the shavings out of the way. If there's too much resistance stop and see the first suggestion..

If that's not the problem, then what is?

I'm thinking if the Nemesis is the Go To device, the topper has issues 1/2 way up the threads.
Maybe the threaded 510 is deeper than normal and hitting the Delron piece.

Only piece I've had act like that is my RSST and it doesn't like to fit anything without a fight.

I'm having the same problem with the brass Hcigar Nemesis I got last week but with my Tobeco Trident V2 clone. It threads on fine for like 2 turns and then it feels like it's getting stuck or something, I'm able to get it to fire fine but it will not thread down all the way flush even with the pin removed from the top cap. I can get my Kayfun and Origen to go flush on it without any issues. Another thing to mention is that my Trident threads fine on both my Provari and my MVP 2.

Thank you guys for intelligent aswers.... but still it seems like the threads just don't line up correctly. everything else fits and vice versa and the atty stops about half way down just completely... i've hear of the trident's not threading on the neme but not any of the higher end atty's.. I'm searching for anyone with a top cap for sale for the neme or a mod that is scrap so i can just use the top cap. don't really want to go with the tobeco version, I love the Hcigar way too much.. idk what to do. I have a 510 adapter on their now and it jsut looks bogus but works.. thanks guys

Not everything is machined the same.
Some have tight and others have loose tolerances.
I have found this out the hard way a few times.
An extreme example is an igol that I have would go onto 15 different devices just fine.
But on one particular device it would just "fall" into the threads of 1 device. Every other atty I had (over 20) would fit this device just fine. Weird stuff.

I decided that if I was going to play the clone game I wanted to be prepared.
So I went on amazon and got a tap and die.
Now, since then, I have chased the threads on at least 4 mods that had really tight tolerances, and have chased the threads on at least 5 attys that were really tight as well.

I believe the threads are 7x.5mm for standard 510 threading.

They weren't terribly expensive and have paid for themselves several times over IMO.

I will try and find a link and report back.

Go to amazon and type : 7mm x .5 tap die set.
I got mine from ZFE store.
It was 16 bux shipped for both.

If you only want to get the 1, you'll need the die for chasing the threads on your atty.

I recently had a ehpro kayfun that needed to be chased to fit onto anything.

It's like 8 bux

Is the problem the Hcigar Neme?

i feel you… i can understand if you really like Hcigar Neme, but i've had good luck with the FT brass Neme too… i've got both (and 2 real NB Neme's)… damned if the FT doesn't perform as well as the real as far as i can see…
actually i lost track of which was which … i'd have to go check, but if the problem is the Hcigr Neme, hell FT is only a pittance

brass Neme's are my go to devices…

where can i get a Zenith?

I highly doubt this is the issue but throwing it out just in case...

Unscrew the top cap, Unscrew the top pin, screw on the addy flush, rescrew on the top pin, and then screw topcap back on mod.

Doubt it was due to the top pin being screwed in too far, but worth the shot...

Just got my zenithv2. Fit both my brass hcigar nemi clones perfectly, fits my brass prism, turtleship v2... sadly does not fit my ember mod. The threads just seem different. Im afraid to force it and ruin the threads on either of them. My favorite mod too... kind of a let down.

Yup, same here with my hcigar nemesis, zenith v2 just dont screw all the way down, leaving a litlle gap. kinda sucks.

I was thinking about buying the original nemesis, since I love it so much, do you guys think that the same thing is gonna happen? or is it just a clone thing?

Get a proper Thread Die and chase the 510 threads. once done they should screw on properly.

Nemesis Mods - Look carefully in 520 connector at (2) air holes. Often there is Metal from drilling that needs to be cleaned out.

i agree with space, just play with the screws in the button and/or the attomizer till it sits flush. i had the same problem at first and i just adjusted the screws.
