Is there a charger that can charge it from the outside threads?

Not that I know of.

Are your threads completely bare? No traction whatsoever? Can you attach your battery to the charger and perhaps secure it in place with a rubber band? You could try one of those spacers also--just drop it into the 510 well. All you need is electrical contact--center pin to center pin--in order to charge your battery.

Circuit Board Spacer

Your battery comes equipped with dual (510/eGo) connection, you can use eGo threaded heads on it bypassing the 510 threads (and vice versa). As long as you make electrical (pin to pin) connection, your atomizer will fire.

If the outside (eGo) threads are OK, you may also try this eGo-to-eGo/510 adapter. I'm not sure why Spaceballs doesn't recommend charging via an adapter--maybe he knows something I (and my learned colleague Kent C) don't know...

Having said that, I have owned several eGo-class batteries and never had an issue with stripped threads. Are you using good batteries (Joyetech, Vision, eVod etc.) or cheap knockoffs? Also, if you're using huge 510-threaded tanks on your eGos, at least secure them with a beauty ring. eGo-class batteries were not originally designed to be used with heavy 510 tanks and they may be stripping your threads--especially if unsupported.

Bad for your threads:

Good for your threads:

Good luck!

I'm using a puff brand ego that's probably why. It was $15 and lasted 6 months - still cheaper than smoking. I'd rather not mess with rigging it up to charge and take a risk of melting something. I replaced it out with another one for $20. I have an evod, tornado and another puff which has been going strong for a long time. I've also got eroll's, 2 510 sticks and 6 esmart knock off's so it's not like I am without vapes - just wondering the average life span of the batteries. I will probably get a spinner here pretty soon. Now that I am actually smoke free 100% I will invest in better tanks and batts. I just didn't want to spend the money while I was still smoking. It's more reasonable now that I don't smoke.

I'm not "in love" with ego's either because they are to me on the larger side but for at home and back ups they are necessary and I just tried variable voltage and I really like it.

lol! I don't think I can get into a box mod just yet. I'm still into small. I can see it down the road though for reliability and not vaping through it I'm a couple of hours.

I understand. I refused to buy an eGo battery for months because I thought it was too big. I loved my cigalikes. Do what feels right and what keeps you from smoking.

Good luck!

Off topic bit do have any recommendations for ciga likes? I love my eRolls but would also like something pink or green or something!

There's a pink eCab which would use the same atomizer unit as your eRoll. It has different threading but there's a 510 adapter where you could use any 510 sized atty/tank/carto.

Another possibility - I have one and like it for 510 sized auto vape:

A thread on it in the cignot forum here:

I've had the inner threads strip on a couple. Only the very cheap ones have done it for me. I got in the habit of always screwing a carto onto a battery before I bought it (when shopping at B&M) to make sure that the threads didn't feel loose at all. Some of them have threads that are slightly off from the standard and a cargo will feel wobbly on them. Those are the only ones that have stripped for me.
