EU Three German Rulings - eLiquid NOT Medicinal

I'm no expert when it comes to EU legislation but could this ruling have any bearing on the recent EU tobacco directive?
It's shambolic, the very man who tabled the directive resigned over bribery allegations, yet the EU decide to push ahead regardless. It should have been binned and redrafted once he tendered his resignation.
And it was his parting shot as he walked out of the door to add e cigs to the TPD.
Would Mean, Soubry and McAvan please stand up and take the oath, you appear before this inquiry........etc etc

THIS is important!
Smokers' loved ones do NOT support enabling their habits, do NOT lobby on behalf of their loved one's right to smoke in public or access combustibles! So get your loved ones to write or call lawmakers in support of you, AND STATE THAT THEY ARE NOT SMOKERS OR VAPERS!
Show that vaping is different not only for us, but for our families!
I don't claim to have any knowledge of how this would affect the EU legislation but - from here in the US - it seems that it would have to have some affect, right??
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but if the most powerful country in the EU says e-cigs are not medicinal, wouldn't it be odd for the EU to claim that they are??

Christine - it's great that your mother supports you. Where are you in Germany - anywhere near Berlin? I was there for two weeks in January and loved the city. Hope to be heading back to Germany within a few months.
I live near Hanover, which is situated around 300 km (~185 miles) from Berlin...but I went to our small protest for our right to use e-cigs legally and not as a medicinal or medical product last month in Berlin...
