*waves*

It's been 3 months roughly since i stopped smoking my old winston lights and nat shermans and starting using my volt pv. Out of probably 30 flavors from 3 different vendors, i've liked about 4, and only 1 has really been the best for my palate (Ecblends desert gold xf) and even that does not quite have enough flavor for me, but the flavor there is good.

I budget myself about 75 bucks a month to goof around with flavors at this stage, because i can share the cost with my girlfriend (if i hate it, she might not and vice versa) so i'd like to know:

Who has free samples with a small order?

Who has sample packs? I figure 3-5ml with 3 flavors for around 10-15 with first class shipping?

Who has great flavors similar to my tastes?

The desert gold i liked alot, so i tried a "desert ship" from dekang and it's not the same. similar, but does not do it for me. I've enjoyed 555 from ecblends but again, the dekang is not quite as good for me. The primary trait of it, a sort of slight choco nuttiness is great to my palate and would be a great base to blend my own flavors at some point from i think...

ry4 seems to be 555 +carmel/vanilla so that's pretty good as well from what i've tried. Again, the dekang was ALRIGHT, not great.

The only Dk i've liked enough to note is dk-tab so far, and that is quite similar to what the ecblends 555 tasted like to me, which is odd, seeing as the DK 555 did not taste like the other 555. *puzzled*

Fruit flavors i've liked are banana (more real banana, less runts) Watermelon (same thing)

Notes of vanilla, chocolate and honey are all good, but in excess they make me go BLECH! I'm a black coffee drinker, too much sweet makes me gag. :glare:

Also, the straight pg based liquids i have not really liked across the board. I do not want a huge throat hit, the scratchy is not fun for me ( i had/have acid reflux problems and have to take meds for it, so my throat tends to be a bit more sensative.) All of the stuff i have gotten since i started is 50/50 or higher vg then pg (from 60/40 to 85/15)

Thanks to anyone who could stomach reading all that, and thanks in advance for any good suggestions!

Get this: Mountain Oak Vapors Tennessee Original E-Liquid Sample Pack | Eight 3.7ML bottles of the very best tobacco e-liquid flavors

You won't regret it. I don't even like tobacco vapes, usually, but I liked most of MOV's stuff.

This seems perfect. A good price range and a bunch of flavors. I recently tried vapedudes (the 40% coupon for first purchase is nice!) This place is gonna be my next purchase.

I checked AVE but they are not accepting orders? :glare:

HHV has been on my list for a while, heard a lot of good things about em, just still sorting my taste buds while i wait to pull the trigger. All this stuff is still a bit bewildering to me, the way steeping works, how some devices change the flavor (or just work really poorly thus making a GOOD flavor taste bad) it can be quite frustrating, but i am trying to maintain. 3 months with no proper smokes, and i get REALLY irritated somedays when trying to make my PV gear work right.

Some ce2's i have hit dry alot and it drives me nuts, i wanted to get in on the clearomizer craze but those.. are pretty spotty for me. Not to mention having to preform surgery on them every time i open one.

GRRRrrrrr....

The kanger 808 clearos from Health cabin are simple and i like the flavor and hit from them but i had 4 out of 5 in my first pack CRACK on me..... and boges are all out of wack atm so it's like..... WTF can i use that is CONSISTENT damnit?

Here is a recent thread that has vendors that give free samples with order :) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...uice-samples-we-all-love-em-who-sends-em.html

One vendor that pops in my head for you, even tho they don't usually add free samples to their order, is Quick Nic. They have a neverending coupon code: 15OFF for 15% off. Their thread is here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...m/192420-official-quick-nic-juice-thread.html

You can customize your own sampler of 4 5 ml bottles with any juice any nic level you like. I'm not really a tobacco vapor but I have heard good things about their ry4 and grandpa's night cap. However, I bring them up because of some of the other flavors you mentioned: banana, watermelon, vanilla & chocolate....

You should definitely try their Enigma juice - it is chocolate, vanilla, and another flavor or 2 and not too sweet. It's a favorite there. Also they have a GREAT watermelon called Watermelon Rancher. The Banana Cream was also a favorite of mine for awhile, and if you like strong coffee, you will probably like the Keoke coffee. I also have to recommend my newest favorite, Lemon Meringue, it's lemon and meringue that's not real sweet and just a bit of that meringue tartness, I really enjoy it. Quick Nic has good TH and vapor production too. Very good. I think you will enjoy them, if you try them out, do let them steep a bit first as they are freshly made and better with some steeping.

I tend to have the same problems as you regarding reflux and though I love tobacco flavors I have to have some sweetness added so it doesn't cause too much distress. Have you tried some of Vaperite's juices? They're smooth tobaccos, though the ones I've tried may be a little too sweet, but it's definetely easy on the digestive system. For a nice tobacco flavor with only a slight sweetness, you should try crystal eliquid's double tobacco. I find this juice is purely much a clean basic tobacco without any other additives. Both of these vendors have options for making your own mix of pg/vg.

I pulled the trigger on the 8 pack from smokey, and got a few things from vapedudes with the one use 40% off coupon (they only had 2 baccos that interested me but some natural fruit flavors i figured i'd try, if i don't like em i'm sure rachel will (the girlfriend)

I need to narrow it down to pick two vendors to try next month as well. Thanks for all the responses so far.

Anyone here use the ce2 clearos at all? I'm having a pain in the ... with them myself, every few hits is dry and gross, my boges never do that, just one funny tasting hit at the very end to remind me to refill. I so wanted to like the clearomizers too, but 2 packs of em and they seem so sporadic. Ah probably the wrong thread for this. =-0

Thanks for suggestions!

Rawr is my go to vendor....they really have some amazing flavors over there. They just added 5 or 6 new sample packs on the site, and they always send a free 5ml sample with every order. I'd check out the sample packs though, the Top Sellers sample pack has some awesome juices...or if you like Teas....I'd HIGHLY suggest giving that sampler a try. I just got the cinnamon sampler and am in love...I haven't vaped anything except their "Fiery Nuts" flavor in about 5 days....with no end in sight either! They have a permanent code for 5% off: VapeTV

I don't do tobacco flavors, 40 years of 2-packs a day was enough ! Copper Creek's House Blend, HHV's Gandalf, Dark Horse and Dragon's Fire (If I got the names right) seem to get alot of praise. If you can get up and down with him, Mr. Mann is one of the tobacco flavor advocates here. And he seems to be a fairly knowledgable fellow. I can't help you from my own experience, I love Sweet Vapes ! I'm talkin' sticky, gooey, drive-up-your-blood-sugar type e-juices ! And I think you've already ruled those out. Good Luck, hope you find what you're looking for.
