Just arrived today!

All 10 fingers & toes, measuring in at 3.8 volts..

The red is a little bright, and is probably more for daytime than nighttime use, but I'm liking it more than I thought I would.. And the satin silver is even better in person than from photographs I've seen/taken.. Little more "slidey" than satin black, but its appearance makes up for it, as does the lack of cerakote making the crop circles a little more defined & grippy..

Weird how the red has slightly larger LED & window than the blue & green.. I wonder if that has to do with better readibility due to its relative brightness..

Also my 1st asterisk (*) window screws.. Is this something new? My others have the +/x

Christmas lights (don't ask me to try getting 4 going at once!)..

Family photo, from youngest to oldest..

Anyway, my wallet is begging ProVape to stop coming out with new stuff.. it can only take so much! :( :D

Will be taking a breather for a while, with the next probably being a P3 somewhere off in the distance...

I ordered a Mini in the same configuration as yours during the 4th of July sale. It arrived yesterday (11 Jul), but mine still has Phillips screws on the display window.

I feel cheated! :D

Heh..

I've got three V2.5's, and they're all slightly different subversions.. And you have to look really close in bright light, but the Torx heads are slightly misaligned from one another.. :D

Anyway, it's a nice color combo, agree? I knew I would like it, which is a huge reason why I ordered it.. But I'm really pleasantly surprised with the satin silver's appearance.. Not only the color & perfect sheen, but also the more-defined indentations, when compared to the cerakoted ones.. Everything like the logo & crop circles, etc., just pop out at you more...

The red LED isn't all that shabby, either.. I still like blue the best, but I'm glad I have all 3 now.. And red goes well with certain colors, despite it being a wee bit too bright.. And satin silver, it seems, goes well with any & all 3 LED colors...

Anyway, I posted the following in another thread, but no response.. I'm really curious if this is something new, or just pertains to red LED, or what.. Hope to get some feedback somewhere!

So is it just the red LED's that have a taller window? Or is this something new?

My blue & green have 10mm tall ones, while my red is 11mm.. (Both are the same length, at 14mm)..

My red's window is also magnified -- the LED screen isn't actually bigger.. They're the same size...

If you take out the battery & shine a flashlight down the tube, the windows for my blue & green look like ")"

While the red looks like "D"..

It also has longer, thicker screws, with Torx heads that look like "*" from the outside...

Sorry if this is old news, but it's new news to me!

And to be honest, I sort of like the smaller, non-magnified windows better...

Ocelot's mentioned a difference in the display previously. I think it's an unsolved mystery.
I like the 3 colors!!! - I think my next will have red (satin or gunmetal), as currently, i have a blue and a green...

The 3 LEDs definitely keep things interesting.. Glad I did it this way to have one of each.. And as I mentioned blue being my favorite, I still couldn't see myself getting all blue ones.. Especially for the first few..
Of course, now it's open season..

The satin silver is really nice to look at in person.. Photographs don't really do it justice.. Not even ProVape's pics or those user-photos taken with a good camera & lighting can really capture it, from what I've seen so far, whether it be here or Google, etc.

Just one of those things you have to see for yourself in 3-D, even if it's just browsing at a B&M..

Reminds me of the bronze, in that sense.. I'm sure there are a few other colors like that.. Those with a satin silver & a cerakoted one to compare it to know.. Everything is all crisp & clean, and pops out at you.. Like it's some sort of futuristic outer-space metal or something..

They do a good job with it...

Anyway, from what I've seen so far & what owners have been saying, I think blue is the way to go with the gun metal.. It works okay with the other two, but it's just one of those things..

If you really want red, it works well with satin silver.. Can I get a witness?? :D

I bet it looks pretty hot with the black/red hybrid, or polished, or dragon, too...

Yeah, Ocey & somebody else mentioned the larger window before in a couple different threads.. I'm wondering if it's just a red thing, as I believe at least one other example was a red LED, too.. Maybe it has to do with P3? Like, ordering some of the same parts in a larger volume to save a few bucks, even if it means tweaking the V2.5 a little? But that means cutting the bodies different, too..

Not a huge fan of the magnifying window.. If you angle it correctly, it zooms in on the board, too.. The numbers, at least in red, are almost a little too goofy in size.. Plus you can tell that it's being magnified by the slightest distortion..

The LED screen in actuality is the same size as the other ones, from what I can see by peering down the tubes.. It's the window that's doing all the work..

And what's up with the Torx screws? Is this the 1st appearance of them here? I don't mind them either way.. If anything, I probably prefer them, as they give a more polished, refined look to the area.. I can try to take a better closer pic tomorrow or something, though can't make any guarantees with my old cheap camera...

Wonder if the magnifying window is somehow related to the Torx screws? Perhaps the screws needed to be longer due to the window thickness, and they weren't available in Phillips. My new mini with the red display has the same window as my other two (a standard and mini with blue displays).

Maybe the magnifying window is designed for the v3, if they're adding another display digit (wild guess there).

Did a little digging.. (Wow, Ocey posts a lot sometimes!)

Apparently the larger window cut-out & magnifying window started popping up around end of May..

A handful of us here have one of those now, though not all of us who bought one during that time has this newer version..

It affects all 3 LED colors..

And if you get one of those, you'll also have the Torx screws (the "*" ones).. since they require longer thicker screws..

Seems like ProVape might be switching over to these? I sort of hope not, or at least they seriously consider going back to the old, smaller, non-magnifying windows.. I can read those just fine at arm's length.. The new large magnified ones just seem cartoonish or something.. :(

I really wish they'd consult us on these things first.. :D

Anyway, not sure if this is also another new small tweak to the V2.5, or just a potential tolerance quality issue on mine.. But my button on #3 is a little easier to push & sinks in a bit more compared to #1 & #2.. The measurement level seems a smidge lower on the outside when not pressed, and appears to have more of an "angled" play to it when intentionally manipulated.. But it still has that solid feel.. Just that it's a little easier to push.. If this is something intentionally new, then I like the old ones better.. If not, then I'll have to keep my eyes on it to see if anything changes for the worse on mine..

And honestly, if I didn't have others to compare it to, I probably never would have noticed.. It sinks in a little more when pressed, but talking like 0.25 - 0.5 mm difference, it looks like...

Hopefully nothing bad develops...

I would have never noticed the torx screws if you didn't point that out. My satin silver mini has the tiny phillip head screws and my polished stainless mini has the tiny torx head screws. I bought both at my local B&M about 2 weeks apart. Its really odd how they are so different.

My one year anniversary of quitting smoking is in a few weeks (July 27) so I was thinking about how to celebrate it. I just picked up a DNA 30 this past week though.

If I get a Provari number 3 The choice will be harder. I can not decide if it would be between a satin black, pink (my B&M has one but I am not fond of the painted ones) or could be a dragon.
Maybe I will get accessories to dress up the two I have that I adore.:vapor:

Congrats on your latest member of your vaping arsenal Gato!

Congratulations on your anniversary!
I vote for the Dragon, it looks so cool! I would have loved one, but live too far from any Provari dealers, so I bought a gold zenkote mini instead. It's a shame you can't get the dragon online.
