Thanks, mparker.

I had always heard that the burning sensation from peppers was due
to a lower pH value (acidity). That the hottest peppers (like habenero)
had the most acid.

Perhaps what I had heard was not correct, at least in the case of Capsaicin.

Did a quick search on Capsaicin to see what its pH is, and it appears
the pH is not easily calculated because it is not ionic in nature. It does
not easily dissociate in water.

From snippets dot com...

"Capsaicin is neither an acid nor a base, so it is not really proper to speak of its pH. The burning sensation it induces is not a function of acidity, but instead of it binding to mammalian nerves in such a way that they are tricked into signaling a burning sensation."

I have a bottle of the flavoring. It came with a warning.

Haven't mixed it yet, but I'm thinking of a Mexican friend who vapes... maybe he would like a bottle of free juice, hey?

If you're interested, go to totallywicked.com and look for Decadent Vapours flavorings.

My guess this would just give you a "burning" sensation instead of real throat hit as we use the term in vaping.

I have vaped some juices at 3.7 and at 6.0 and I really do think that it make a big difference with TH. Juice that I didn't feel gave enough at 3.7 was really satisfing at 6.0. I was afraid that 6.0 volts would be too much and others have said that some juices don't vape well at that voltage. I am a newbie so I have only vaped a few different juices at 6.0 but none felt burnt to me and my vaping experience was very much improved. Of course, I've smoked for 40 years so maybe I have some pretty dead nerve endings....

Ah, but the throat hit is an irritation from the nicotine. More nic gives more throat hit. You probably have noticed that Nicotine on the tongue gives a "peppery" burn. So, why not a touch of pepper extract?

The trick would be to get just enough, so that you don't get a persistent burning sensation. As in the set-your-tonsils-and sinuses-on-fire kind.

I'm gonna go mix some. :w00t:

Has anyone tried this? How about using Tobasco?
