Throat Hit vs. No Throat Hit (what do you want?)

I have been reading more and more about vapers that don't want throat hit. This baffles me, but it's understandable as personal preferences will always vary. That said, OMG, I have got to have my TH!

Who out there desire zero to minimal TH?

Who absolutely must have TH or the vaping experience ain't right?

Do any of you not care either way?

As with most things in vaping, I like diversity. It all depends on the juice or the situation I am in. I love using my ProTank when I just want to taste the juice and don't need to get a good TH. If I'm out having a drink, I need the throat hit and pull out my iClear 16s. Certain flavors do it for me too. Usually RY4 is the one I love for TH...I nice smooth Chai Tea is reserved for my ProTank.

I can see where you're coming from; though I have only had one juice that I didn't require TH from: Gambit from 5 Pawns at 6 mg. LOL. Generally if the juice doesn't have a good TH, I can't quite enjoy it. Some juices, even at 24 mg, just don't quite perform the way I like. I think that's why I love Halo Prime 15 so much--it's got a wallop of a throat hit.

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could customize TH? I'd like the super-high TH at 18 mg at all VG, please.

I know, I know--it matters about equipment, PG/VG ratio, nic level and wattage. Even still, on the same set-up, with the same wattage, some have it and some don't irrespective of all of those other factors. Heck, some all VG juices have more TH than some high PG juices.

I am still a bit of a newbie. Just over a month without a single real cigarette But I NEED a good TH. Maybe because I am still in a position where I need to feel like I am still smoking but not??? Not really sure. Have some issues with my set up in getting that perfect TH, but going good for now. I have 4 different clearos going, some give a better TH than others, trying to figure out the perfect one for me before I buy more.

In the thread "What do you like most about vaping" I answered Throat Hit! I will suffer through low throat hit but not no throat hit. I'll change that juice beyond recognition of its original if I have to to get throat hit. My favorite throat hit is the one that goes with strong flavor. The high nic hit is desperation because I'm always trying to avoid vaping too much nic. And different flavors do change throat hit! I've read it's all nic and that hasn't been my experience. I've read it's all about PG and that hasn't been my experience. Every new batch has a new throat hit. I wish vaping could be more consistent. Even an atty from different maker changes things. Sometimes I get tired of it and just puff away, French inhale who cares but REALLY, I want good full satisfying throat hit. The one bone to pick about my beloved WTA flavors at 12 % nic. No throat hit to speak off really. I want an additive, safe and right to just drop in my flavors as needed to get the right throat hit and not hot pepper!

I like a medium high - high TH. I do 18mg usually 50/50 and almost exclusively tobacco flavors. Its been my experience they give the strongest TH

I tried some carts when I had the FINs. The carts were from BLU, and I asked for the highest nicotine level. So I bought them, it said high nic/pipe, but no numbers. It was a tasty choco-graham pipe tobacco... but absolutely NO THROAT HIT. It was like sucking on a thick milk shake, but I couldn't tell if I was vaping anything. I just tasted it.

I need to know that I am vaping. Flavor is all well and good, vapor is neither here nor there, but I need the TH. If I don't have a TH, I might as well just be inhaling car exhaust.

Yeah, if I vape in the dark, I've got to be able to feel something more than just flavored air!

Throat hit? Not so much. Vast clouds of vapour and full mouth feel? Oh yes.

Still new to the vapor experience, but I've come from 20+ years of smoking cigarettes and cigars. Throat hit is something I've come to expect when smoking, but I find that after a few days of nothing but vapor, it's not something i miss. Obviously, each to their own, but count me as another vote for little-to-no throat hit for an enjoyable vape.

I like a medium Thoat Hit that I'm trying to match up to my analog days. My problem is I'm hooked on Smooth Criminal right now and it's a little smoother (less throat hit) than I'd like.

I'd like to try a good TH without any nic to find out the results.

I started vaping almost 3 years ago at 12mg nic. About six months later I worked my way down to 0 nic, and for a month I tried everything I could to enjoy the juices I had ordered at 0 nic. Sadly, all my favorite juices felt "flat", just like taking a sip from a can of pop that had been left open overnight.

I worked my way back to between 9 and 12mg and have stayed there since.

Conclusion: I need to feel some TH.
