I've found I don't need a throat hit, though using 16mg nic liquid I get it anyway with a deep draw.

Weird thing is I prefer NOT to get one. I like the mild taste and sensation of the vapour, it's like smoking a hookah / shisha, very light, fragrant and pleasant to me so far (only 2 days in and off the 'analogues!) and is why I wanted to quit / change to vaping anyway, was sick of the gacky throat and lungs...

I find I enjoy vaping more than smoking and it's so enjoyable to me by itself that I even don't even feel the need for a few drinks to go along with it like I did with cigs. Might end up being good for the old liver as well as the lungs etc...!

Overvaping brings a diminishing return on both TH and flavor. It is the subject of constant evaluation in The Lab. When I determine a method to restore lost impact I will share the results. I am working on this always. Possible remedies tested daily, so far results have been largely unsuccessful. For the time being the best prescription I can give is to switch to a LR atty or go HV if you can when this occurs. Certain juices also maintain more impact than others on days when this problem manifests.

I have struggled day one with this issue. I NEED that TH, otherwise I feel like I am not doing anything and it does not satisfy the urge for me. Most of the posts here are dead on. For example there is clearly a diminishing return on both flavor and TH. There are times where I have to go a long time between vaping and the first vape is great then after 4 or 5 puffs, nothing. Also it is very subjective as there are flavors that I get nothing and my wife takes a puff and she is choking from the hit (she still smokes a few cigs a day). I actually get jealous of her and wish I had that experience! VG is a killer for me, get above 40-50% and its all air to me. Also as someone stated earlier coffee flavors have been great in this area. I can even go to 50/50 PG/VG and still get a good hit every time with a coffee flavor.

Yes I have to have the throat hit but I was a 2-3 pack a day full flavor smoker for 30 years! My wife wants a smooth inhale so my juice doesn't satisfier her as she can't get a full inhale! To me the throat hit is that little umpphhh or kick you get from a full flavor smoke! I assume it would be the dif between a person who smokes ultra lights and then taking a drag of a camel unfiltered or a lucky strike or pall mall! It's the kick that satisfies me! I'm still only 3 weeks in but the TH is a must have for me so far and not for my wife!

I don't understand what the big deal is with the throat hit. I can't recall the last time I felt anything in my throat from a cigarette. So what is with all the hype about it?
I think that the TH is the difference between taking a breath of air or smoke. If I dont get a good TH, I don't feel like I am smoking. With a good vaporizer, it satisfies my desire to smoke analogs.

Hi. From my 25 year smoking experience, I have learned that smoking is really a personal matter. Granted there are about 5-10 categories that we all fall under but each person derives something different. For example, I started smoking at age 14 and am now close to 40. All of my adult life was spent with a cigarette in my hand. I have tried quitting with any and all methods.

Thank the heavens Vaping has come along. Why? For me it is all about the throat hit. The end.
I never cared for the smell, the taste of tobacco is awful (my opinion) my fingers are yellow and my lungs are crying for me to stop. While still very very new to this, I have been experimenting with some menthol juice (found it in the mall) because it increases the kick you feel in your throat without necessarily having to increase nicotine... (again my finding/opinion)

So for me, while smoking held a dear place in my heart because I "grew up with it", the social factor (in the past), the bars, the dancing, the chicks, the cool factor, the addiction etc. now that I have discovered "vaping" it has become clear to me the ultimate "hook" was the throat hit. Besides, I have used more patches than I care to mention, so is it really the nicotine?
For me it is the delivery method and that feeling you get as the smoke/vape (whatever) goes down.

So, I may be rambling, but I think I am explaining how analogs are addictive on a variety of different levels and how for me the ultimate addiction was the throat hit. How else, (after 25 years) could I stay away for 2 whole days with 2 crappy e-cigs I got in the mall that barely work?? Simple, suck on them like mad and get an even better throat hot than I do with analogs.

Both batteries are charging as I type and I smoked an analog. I actually miss the harder throat hit I got from the malfunctioning e-cig!!!!! Very exciting!!

I am ordering a LEO today and man do I feel happy! I can finally get a throat hit that feels like an 18 wheeler without the 4000 chemicals, the stench, the horrible taste, the yellow fingers and teeth......... Exceptionally exciting times!!!!!!!!

Throat hit for me is the burning tingle in the back of the throat that I really only get when I take a drag of my e-cig after a few hours of not taking a puff. Ahhh it tingles/burns on the inhale and hits even harder on the exhale. I effin love it! I'm all for a hardcore kickin throat hit so
I'm really picky with my juices.

I used to be a Marlboro Reds smoker. Then each time I had an extended hospital stay, I had to go to lighter cigarettes because the old ones were too harsh for me. So even though I ended up eventually on Ultralights, I was still a 1.5-2 PAD smoker and I did get TH every time from Ultralights. However, I don't think they would have enough TH for my boss who smokes Marlboro Reds.

Even I have some trouble finding TH from e-cigarettes. But I do need that to feel satisfied and "done" having a vape. I don't want to vape constantly so I need to feel "done". It's some combination flavor, aroma, vapor and TH and without the TH I never feel done.

That said, not everyone needs TH. Plenty of people are happy vaping tasty cream and fruity flavors with little TH. If I did that I would never stop.

Everyone had some pretty good replies, but I think this one made the most sense for me. I can see how that TH would feel satisfying to some people, and make them feel like they have had enough after a while. As for vaping tasty cream and fruity flavors...not for me. I smoked cigarettes not ice cream. I tried some of the ones i got with my sample pack. I ended up throwing all of the ones that didn't taste most like a cigarette away. I think I am going to order some menthol flavored ones though. Anyone have any input on which flavor, and from what supplier I could get the closest flavor to a Newport from?

I smoked newports and have tried a few menthol juices but never did satisfy me until I ordered the Methol nic 36mg from TW(totally wicked). I love it, although have to cut it because it is to strong for me.. It's pricey without a sale but I got a 500ml bottle during the yo yo sale. Maybe you can pick up the smaller ones.

I really like not having to mix it with flavors but if I want to, i can add a few drops of 0 nic juice and its good.

Quit smoking over 15 years ago because I couldn't stand the smell and the health risks. Have always missed the nicotine though. Started vaping during the summer and, after trying several kinds of e-cigs and liquids, have settled on the Titan Tornado mega battery, LR atomizers, and Camel/Marlboro 36 and 48 mg as my preferred. Also use the 16 and 24 more or less to play with. I got into that exact same pattern of two hits at once. Most of the videos show users apparently not inhaling and just blowing out a cloud. I really enjoy deep drags with good mouth and nose exhales. Much more like analog smoking that way. I find the 36 and 48 mg very satisfying with much less frequent vaping necessary. I don't like the cartridges at all and got into dripping. Much more vapor and satisfaction in my estimation. I also just vape when relaxing at home. I really feel no need to walk around with an e-cig in my pocket. As I am retired and in and out on a regular basis, I don't find being without a problem.
