Throat Hit

Hello Folks,

I have been vaping for about 6 months now. Most of that time I have either vaped between 3-6mg nic or zero nic. I like what is know at "throat hit" for the most part. However in the last week or so I have found that when I use the liquids with nic on the inhale I get the TH and then my throat seems to constrict a bit and I cough, which isn't fun.

I don't get that effect from zero nic but I also don't get the TH. I tried a few drags of adding diluted pepper but it makes my fruit liquids taste bad.

Recommendations?

A lot of people say that a higher nic is a little harsh going down. Which is true in a lot of cases. The best way to do get through it is fight the cough and do it about three more times. Your throat will get use to it.
I honestly think it has more to do with what juice you chose and how much PG/PV is in the juice. For example, 50/50 PG/PV with a 12mg nic level is perfect for me. A lot of my friends who don't vape say it's easier going down, they don't cough unless they really fill their lungs.
As for the juice, I come across one every once in awhile where it does make me cough. So, I just say experiment with Juices and their PG/PV levels.

Do you take like day breaks in between vaping 0mgnic and 6mg nic? That might cause it, too. Or if you go to a high level, your throat just needs to get use to it.

When I started vaping, I just toughed through it for about a week and I'm fine with anything now. Just drink lots of water, especially if you find your throat to get that "scratchy" feeling here and there.

i have the exact opposite problem most of the time. i struggle to get the big TH that i want. i noticed that VG juices offer me approximately zero TH. my suggestion is to up your VG% as high as you can. AVE is known for their work with VG.
also, i like citrus, tobacco, cinnamon, and other types of flavorings that have a bite. if i were you, id stay away from those and go with smoother flavorings like chocolate, vanilla, bakery vapes, stuff like that. also, try some organic or natural ejuice. i think those are much smoother. Ahlusion and i think Highbrow do organic/natural, but there are lots of vendors that do.
