I'm not actually a big throat hit fan. But it can be affected by what your using, what liquid, the vg/pg ratio and the mgs of nic. Higher mgs will have higher throat hit within the same flavor and vg/pg combination.
I don't smoke anything higher than 12mgs and mostly at 6 and don't have experience with many juices. But the hardest hit I've had was Atomic Fireball at only 8 mgs from DFW. I filled a carto with it when I first got it and it about killed me. I haven't touched it since.

Several things can increase TH.

1) PG to VG ratio, for more TH, use more PG in your blend, 90/10 or 80/20 PG/VG.

2) Nicotine; you may try to increase nicotine strength in your juice to 12 or 15 mg/ml and see it that helps.

3) Wattage (heat, power) at which you vape. The warmer the vape, the better the TH. Most people find their sweet spot somewhere between 5-8 watts, more or less. Try increasing the voltage on your Twist gradually until you get more TH, especially with your T3--those work better on higher voltages. Use this calculator to help you find your sweet spot.

4) Certain strong flavors like cinnamon or peppermint seem to increase TH--at least for some people. But that is very subjective, of course.

Good luck and welcome to ECF!

If your new and were smoking a pack and a half a day like me, I would recommend higher nic for your setup. Try 18 and go from there. Nic plays a role in TH. More so it influences the taste buds. Introducing chemicals into the mouth kills the taste buds. Greatest variable in TH is attributed to heat. For your ego use standard or high voltage attys so you can vape at high voltage. Like aPanza was saying delivery will effect it too, so you may want to try cartos or dripping attys instead of clearos.

I've been into the DIY mixing about a month to me it seams like the lower I go with the nic the more flavor I taste, went from two and a half packs a day to 18mgand now down to 15-16mg and it's working can't say I've saved any money but thats ok.Seams like when all things remained the same except nic lower is better for me didn't much care for the burn or TH.

Right now I'm vaping Kentucky Applewood from vermillionriverejuice.com and really love the flavor. Kind of a light apple tobacco flavor-just a hint of sweetness-very mellow. What flavor would you recommend? I don't like the citrus flavors and nothing real sweet.

Well, I gotta say your vaping one damn fine vape already! I love VM juice, I get most of my tobacco vapes there.

I have tried a few other places for tobacco vapes, recommending juice is very difficult with tastes being so subjective but I really like all these:

    Good E-Juice---House Brewed Line
    Backwoods Brew--Casablanca
    Prime Vaping--Oasis, Love from Above
    V2 Cigs---Red
    Smokeless Image---Country
Liqua---Cuban Cigar, American Blend, French Pipe, Bright Tobacco

I will be honest I am the opposite I don't like TH or heat in my vape. I didn't like it as a smoker either. I frequently smoked 120s so I could smoke 2/3 of one and have a relatively normal length smoke without having to smoke the hot part near the filter. :p

One of the nice things about vaping is we really can customize our experience to our own tastes. Just might take some experimentation to do it.
