I have been vaping for about 2 weeks now. I haven't totally quit analogs. I have noticed that my upper throat & nose feel very dry.
I have been using a KGO e-cig, usually with an atomizer, sometimes with a drip tip. I have tried carto's, but was dissatisfied with the vapor production. I started with samples of juice from EC Blend with 24mg nic strength, and 50/50 PG/VG, but found them somewhat bland, so tried 36mg with 70/30 PG/VG, as my "mentor" advised me that too high a %age of VG would make it very sweet.
Is this "dryness" a common complaint from new vapers? Is it the mix of PG/VG, the nic strength, or both? I think my tastebuds have suffered a great deal from 30+ years of tobacco, and I may be "overdoing" it a bit.

The dryness is quite common, the reason being that both PG and VG are hygroscopic, meaning they absorb moisture. The vapor you're exhaling is condensed water molecules that are extracted from your own body. The dryness you're feeling is a sign of mild dehydration, which is why everyone recommends drinking a lot of water.
