I had an e cig in the past that I was successfully able to get off tobacco with. However, substituting the e cig for a night out instead of smoking, I'd wake up with a swollen throat. The kind that feels like you have to swallow a marble even if it's just saliva and it'd last about 12 hours. I was on I believe a mix juice (ratio not sure) that was the 16 or 18 mg strength. My problem - if ever I'm out, due to old habits I have to step out and smoke (even if it's not nicotine). Even if it's an e cig indoors, it's just one of those things.

Question is, if I invest in everything again and switch to a 100% VG 0mg nicotine, do you guys think it'll solve the problem ? Any advice, product recommendations / whatever would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It does include drinking. Figured the dehydration effect of alcohol has something to do with it, but most people I know hardly notice a thing.
I could also have something to do with the flavor you are vaping. Have you tried vaping unflavored when out on the town? My husband is the perfect example. Well, not the out on the town since he doesn't do that but most flavors do give him a sore throat. I have to mix his at just a few drops of flavor.

Just throwing this out there because I have absolutely no proof but maybe it has something to do with the fact that he both smokes and vapes. Maybe he and you are trying to vape the same way you smoke. They may look the same but they need to be done differently.

You're not most people that you know. ;) You may just be more susceptible to the effects of doubling down on dehydrating activities with drinking alcohol and vaping. My consumption of H2O has jumped exponentially (easily a couple of liters per day) since I started vaping, and I also get glasses of water when drinking beer or mixed drinks. Perhaps you should try the same.

Certain flavorings give me grief. Perhaps most flavorings, I am still trying them. Capella seems to overall treat me the best, but some of those give me grief as well. And most commercial ejuice I cannot use.
