Thank you so much!!! I knew it was something, and I'm glad you put a name to it, I will see my GP very soon thank you
Some great advice here. seeing a GP is the first concern. I kind of doubt it's an allergic reaction, but I'm sure he will probably want to test. There are four components to Eliquid... Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerine, Nicotine, and flavoring. If you're a current smoker, I know you're not allergic to nicotine.

The others, however, you could have an allergic reaction, but allergic reactions usually evolve a slower response which lasts a while.
It sounds more like some sort of "gag" response. If I had to guess (and I'm no doctor), I'd say it's something similar to what Extremedooty said... It seems to ring true. But in either case, it is a concern that should be taken care of. Just keep in mind, the GP will advise against not inhaling ANYTHING except air. If you do wish to try to quit through vaping, acknowledge his first recommendation (which would involve quitting smoking), and tell him your concern about trying to quit through ecigarettes.
...not being a doctor, what I would do, is after you see your GP, try starting smaller.... with a "cigalike". That's the smallest on the ladder, and by itself, I don't think it will get you to quit. It will, however, get you used to the larger particles of vapor. After a while, step up to your current setup which is what I call the lowest on the progression ladder that can get people to quit. The cigalikes, although good for introducing people to the concept of vaping, don't have as high as a success rate as something with the larger batteries. You may not need to go higher than the device you have now, but it might not be the best thing for you to start with.
