If nothing changed, I'm not sure I'd be inclined to blame the vape, first. It could well be something about your body INTERACTING with the vape may have changed (allergies and sensitivities can develop over time) but you still need a doctor for that.
Perhaps something is going on that is sending you into laryngeal spasms when you vape or something, but please keep in mind that I am NOT a doctor, I don't even play one on TV, and that was my first thought, it could be a plethora a very cornucopia of options, some of them dangerous some of them not, so perhaps go to a doctor and HOPEUFLLY you have access to one that is going to be willing to look at vaping as part of the picture.
Sounds like the perfect time to go see an ENT if you haven't yet. And seriously NO ONE here can tell you what it actually is, go to a doctor.
