*sigh* I'm beating myself over the head here. Tomorrow would be 6 weeks without any analogs. Can't say that now :(

Ran out of juice and no $$$ until payday tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out how much juice I need to get me from one payday to the next and just can't seem to get it right. I bought some snus the other day and that held off the cravings for a day or two, but this morning I just couldn't stand it anymore and went out and bought 2 packs to hopefully hold me until I place an order and get the precious stuff delivered. Oh my, this is not good!

I haven't calculated what my estimated juice use is in a day, but I read here that the average is about 2-3 ml per day. So would about three 30 ml bottles be a safe guess and still leave some extra? I get paid twice a month, but one of those is already spoken for, leaving me one check to get the goodies with for the month.

I'm very disappointed in myself today for giving in. 6 whole weeks, and I blew it....grrrr!!

Could you please share how much juice you go through in a month? Thanks so much!! Y'all are just awesome!!

Ciara you didn't blow it! You went six weeks without a cigarette. That's something to be proud of, not upset about! Three months ago, could you have imagined yourself going without a cigarette for six weeks? Probably not.

My initial thought regarding your situation is that you should build up a reserve of juice and other supplies. If you are running so close to empty this time, chances are you'll hit that same issue again in a week or a month. Maybe try to buy a small bit extra with your order and squirrel it away. Maybe you should both vape and use analogs for a little while until you can stockpile enough juice to get you through an extra week between orders. Once you have enough in reserve to carry you through a few extra days, then you won't be stressing so much over the dwindling amount of liquid that you have. And, because you'll have less stress in that area, you'll probably have less of an uncontrollable urge to smoke again. Find a way to build up a little extra in a hidey-hole somewhere. Rotate your stock so that you use from your reserve first and put some new back into your "extra stash" each time so it stays fresh. Just some thoughts.

I think you should be proud of yourself, not beating yourself up. You'll be vaping again soon and if you can find a way to keep a bit extra available, you won't have to fight this particular demon again.

Happens to us all I think. Few of us have gone the entire journey without a slip up. Don't let it bug you... just focus on ALL those cigarettes you've avoided so far!

I try to keep a 30ml bottle in for each week. Better safe than sorry. Average I think is 3 or 4ml for most people per day. I also keep a supply of DIY supplies (I don't DIY really... but it is my just in case stash) with PG, VG, LorAnns and Capellas as well as unflavored 36mg and 24mg nic liquid.

You can always mix up some vegetable glycerine (find at Walmart), distilled water (just a few drops) and extract flavoring to vape while using your snus to maintain your nicotine in a pinch.

You can also suck liquid out of cartridges (with a small squeeze bulb dropper) and use it to direct drip in a pinch.

Hang in there!!

Hey Ciara don't be so disappointed in yourself for having to grab some smokes. If you've went 6 weeks without any that is a great accomplishment! And since you wouldn't have wanted the analogs had it not been for running out of juice and not having anywhere to get any I don't think its a big deal at all. Once you get more juice you'll go back to vaping and everything will be good again :)

Also, I think you're about right on with 2-3 ml a day. If you already know what you like you may just want to get a few months supply.

Not to be a jerk, but how is it you have money for snus/cigarettes but not money for juice? You can get good, USA mixed juice for $10/30ml, and China juice for less than that if you know where to look. That's two 30ml bottles at least for what you just paid for tobacco products.

Running out and having a relapse while waiting for shipping is one thing, but with juice being so much cheaper than cigarettes, money can't be a legitimate excuse.

Congrat's on 6 weeks WITHOUT smoking! At 1 pack per day that is 840 cigarettes you DIDN"T smoke! As someone once told me when I had a slip up, "You didn't develop this habit/addiction in just a few weeks so don't beat yourself up when you can't break it in a few weeks." Just keep on walking and you'll get to the end of your journey. I took the advice of "stockpiling" some extra juice and now it is getting me through a tough time with the post office. Just learn from experience and move on. And give yourself a hug....you just went 6 whole weeks without a smoke!

Wow, thank you everyone! I let myself get into a tough spot and will plan much more carefully to make sure I have enough juice, keep track of how much I'm using, etc.

What can I say? I didn't think I would run out of juice before getting paid tomorrow, but obviously I did. Simple as that. When I place an order tomorrow, it will be several days before it's delivered.

I went to the reservation and got the snuff for $2.00 and the cigs for $3.50 a pack and no tax. That was the best I could do until payday tomorrow.

As I said, I allowed myself to get stuck in a bad place with no backup juice and nothing else to hold me over the next several days until I can order and wait for the stuff to come.

Ciara - Thinking a little further ahead, in addition to ordering extra juice you should also be ordering extra batteries and attys so that you don't find yourself stopped cold with plenty of juice but no way to vape it.
There are multiple pieces to the delightful puzzle of vaping, and there is definitely a learning curve involved both in using them and keeping a full stock of parts. So now you can plan ahead and not get caught short again.
Much luck, and don't beat yourself up for reverting back for a bit. Congratulate yourself on the many analogs you've avoided, and all those you'll pass up in the future.

Thanks Trixie! For sure, the learning curve has been a challenge for me but slowly I'm getting there! When I place my juice order hopefully tomorrow, I'm going to get some extra atties too. I use a passthrough most of the time and have two good spare batteries also, so I think I'm okay on that for now. Atties and plenty of juice for sure! :w00t:
