How to keng for high key? Mine is July and I don't think I can handle the problem I have now if I'm going in, ur expertise is appreciated stealthsg!

Am no master but several things you have to consider...
1) Your NSMAN RANK (higher ranking means more responsibilities, moral obligations especially if you are an officer, I am a smelly corporal lol)
2) Your "jobscope" (I go back as office boy, shake leg whole day)
3) Your unit (Onz or relax)
The MC you get can always fax back to camp but taking the guidelines above into consideration, there will be times when you will still be "called" up. A new business is definitely a reason for deferment in most cases.
I have friends who enjoy going back for reservist, some even consider it a holiday away from work, they say it's good to get paid to do nothing so I guess it all depends?

Bro, my unit is super cannot make it...every 2 years have 1 call up, sometimes 3 years lol....so I guess that helps

Because my father who is staying with me is bed ridden, furthermore my wife is pregnant, due date this coming July, and still have a toddler. I pity them if I go reservist this time round. Actually I'm ok with reservist, I only LCP, but driver u know la, like encik already in camp. Lol. So it's actually not about me. Don't whether inpro time can reason out with my unit or not.
Guys we can't turn this into a Geng thread. Keep in pms if possible. That's my recommendation. I like going back to reservist as it is away from the real world! You get to workout and got free runs and exercise. I come out ready for a new challenge so it is not that bad really.
That will have to depend on how deep a support your family members give. My wife gave birth 2 days before my second last high key, and my Mum and MIL was there to help out, and I proceed all the way. It all depends on the numbers in the equation, really. Hope you get the solution when it comes.
[NS WEBSITE] usually has your unit's contacts. log in with singpass and it will be under "my call ups." call them to talk to them 1st. you tell them on 1st day of ICT and chances are that they may think you're trying to keng. Not to mention the amount of paperwork they have to do cos you already reported in camp and you're just adding to their workload since you'll not be the only one reporting for ICT.
Majority of the HR people I've come across are not unreasonable if you have strong reasons for requesting for deferment.

go for in-pro the first day, talk to your officer or the OC who is giving speech , they will help you out provided you help yourself by bring along official documents ; ask your family doctor write a letter that indicate your wife is giving birth during that period of time, your dad's medical documents. probably after lunch you can go home already

Every time in camp training , make baby ..... This is truly service for the nation. By the time reach 40 ... possibly 10 kids running around.
