Ti Booster DIY

Hi,

I've been fooling around to understand what a "TI booster" really is; it seems to be a voltage booster from 3.7v to 7.4v ? Is "TI" a trademark ? (yea sorry I am french lol)

Please tell me more about it; where could I buy this ? is there a DIY mod including this kind of booster in order me to understand how it works ?

TI= Texas Instruments. It's a USA based electronics giant. And yes, it is a booster chip.

If you go to the TI web site and give yourself a fancy title, they will ship 4 different boosters to you FREE of charge.

Analog, Embedded Processing, Semiconductor Company, Texas Instruments

Follow the tab that says; "sample and buy".

Other vendors, like Digikey.com sell the TI booster chips.

Just one more question...
I'v heard about the little sister variable voltage mod, and I'm very interested in this kind of technology.
First I thought it was a variable resistance, but now I am not so sure..
Have you guys any lead about it ?
