Do you find yourself preferring an airier draw now than you did when you began vaping? Just curious.

I've found that the sweet spot with the particular equipment I'm using seems to lie right around the "sipping a milkshake through a straw" region. It's a looser draw than I was used to with a cigarette. But if I open things up a little more and make it TOO airy, the vapor becomes thin, weak and unsatisfying.

How do you adjust the draw?
Depends on the atomizer. EGo threaded clearos have holes in the base... you can cover 1-2 of them and tighten the draw. 510 base attys (carto tanks, glassomizers) have holes that breath through slots (and holes) in the connector... those can be covered to varying degrees as well.
RDA and RBAs have "tune-able" holes, or holes that are frequently undersized and can be enlarged (via a drill) to accommodate individual needs. High end genesis type atomizers like the Kayfun and Russian 91% will have screws that allow you to open and close an air passage as required.

I found my first few atomizers too tight, and eventually worked my way up to the original protank, which was way too loose. I just got a PT II and find it strikes a perfect balance. Generally though, I would say that I've shifted over the the last two months to a much looser draw, for a thinner less intense vape. The reason for this is that although I really appreciate a dense and flavourful vape, I find that I get sick of intense flavors too quickly. With a looser draw, I find that I can enjoy flavors much longer, which is a win for me, as I tend to either love or hate most flavours (i.e. I've yet to find one that I can tolerate but don't love).

Appropriately enough, I just got an Evod kit (great vape!) and it seems especially airy to me, at least compared to what I've used up to now. Since I like to label my clearomizers, I might stick the label over one of the airholes - or perhaps I'll just live with the looser draw for a while and maybe I'll come to like it.

Once I got a Protank 1, I thought I hated the airy draw. I went back to a pretty clogged Evod & decided I do like the airy draw but not so airy. Just a little less would be perfect.
I cant wait to try the PT2 or the mini. Supposedly it's been improved since the original PT came out.
Same old problem of out of stock. I wanted to buy from Fasttech but they have been out forever. I plan on getting one when they do come in.
Always waiting for something. Lol.

The longer I've vaped the more I prefer a little more of an airy draw. I almost like something in the middle of airy and tight. Kinda hard to explain but I'm sure you know what I mean. To the guy who asked about how to adjust air flow. One thing they make to help with this (depending on what your using) are ego and tank air flow controllers.

I think I know what you mean: you prefer an easy draw that's still rich with vapor. I was using "airy" and "loose" kind of interchangeably in my first post but really, they're not the same thing.

Anyway, after near-chain vaping on the EVODs for several hours I decided the draw was really a bit too loose for me so I printed up a label and slapped it over one of the holes (visible just to the left of the "B" in the photo). It works like a charm; now the draw is just about right (for me).

I hate airy draws. I prefer a medium draw, close to smoking. I also prefer a warmer vape. And that's why I use iClears, and I also enjoy the T2's.

I loathe the Protank airy draw. Unfortunately I hear genesis style atomizers also have an airy draw, so I'm going to stick with silica RBAs with small caps :) when I get a chance to purchase them.
