BigJimW i sent your boycott in to boycottwatch yesterday and today I got a phone call from them wanting an interview. the guy said it sounded interesting and said he was going to look into it some more to find out more information. If they call me back can I give them your phone number as you seem like you'd be able to give a better interview than I would. If you could send me your phone number in a private mail I'll pass it on to them.

Sorry Jim
I LOVE Maxwell House cause it's good to the last drop.
I LOVE Triscuits too.
I lOVE Planters peanuts.
Claussan pickles, no way...it's not right without a claussian
Baker's canned coconut is the best.
All the other stuff on the list I don't buy anyway so it's no biggy.
I have bought others brands of everything but NOT my coffee.
I'm just letting you know I want to help but I draw the line on my cup a Joe!

nice video but i don't think you should have used the F word in it. why give the parents another excuse to be against us.

If you believe parents don't use the "F" word in front of their own kids then you're not living on Planet Earth.

Plus, anyone watching that video is of age enough to have used the F word on more than one occation. Any parents that allow their kids to watch this video without proper parental supervision should not be parents.

Only because I dropped the F bomb once.

I'll make another video on the F bomb soon. :D

Like that South Park episode when everyone was excited over the broadcast of the word "sh*t" one time on TV, and the word sh*t was said over 200 times in the episode itself.

you say that now but whats going to happen when the FDA starts to want to regulate the amount of caffine put in coffee and make it illegal to put added flavors in it?

I love Maxwell House - If they tinker with it then they do but at least I'll have had the many enjoyable cups till they do.
I am sipping a hot cup of it right now and it's mmm mmm good!!

:D OK...enuf said :D
I just couldn't imagine my coconut pies being made with anything other than Bakers canned coconut...mmmm...yum:p

I think it's the anti smoking groups and health depts., rather than Morris but I don't study all that stuff. I read a little here and there.

Artificial smoke cigarette invention

go to the tenth paragraph

Further down it describes a device that was being tested in 88 called an Accord. It's interesting reading....

I hope it's ok for me to post that link. If not would a mod PM me and I'll refrain and remove. Thanks...Deb

PS Jim I didn't use that f word in front of my kids. I did use a few foul words but not that one.

I can't be certain whether PM or any other cigarette manufacterer's advertising actually compels a young person to start smoking. I think there are several other factors that play a bigger role. But advertising certainly influences brand choice once a young person decides to be a smoker.

My concern with Philip Morris is that they finessed their way into a position of shaping the regulation policies recently adopted by the FDA. As a business move, this mischief deserves some admiration.

I wholeheartedly support a boycott of Philip Morris tobacco products simply to keep them from getting too cocky. They need to be reminded that we, the consumers, have allowed them to become King of the Hill, and that we, the consumers, can be a fickle bunch. Philip Morris should be made well aware that if we consumers choose an alternative to their tobacco products, it's best to just let us enjoy ourselves, and they'd be better served to steer the FDA off our turf.
