Today my trusty IPV3 is one year old. I'm talking about the gen 1, screw on battery cover, non-functioning touch pad model. From day one it's been a rock solid daily use device for me. Only minor complaint I have is the 510 threads started wearing out at about 6 months, so for half its life it's been wearing a 510/510 adapter...no big deal.

Actually it's still going strong, but I find myself in the rare position of having the desire for new equipment (well, I always have that) AND the means to acquire it (80 dollars to be exact). It would be very luxurious to have both a temp control option and a battery compartment that ISN'T-ATTACHED-BY-SCREWS.

Looking at IPV3LI for $71, and IPV4S for $60. Both have temp control chips, magnetic batt doors, and over 100 watts cap. IPV3li is nice, but I'm kind of leaning towards the 4, since it's like, not an almost exact clone of my current IPV3. I don't see myself vaping at much over 75 watts in the near future, so the 3's extra 45 watts is pretty much a moot point.

So what say you fine folks? Either, or, something else?

Thanks

I got an authentic iPV3 LI for pretty cheap on fasttech, with the XMAS coupon code you get 10% off, put if you already have the iPV3 it may be a little pointless to get the same one just slightly more upgraded but it's up to you if you enjoyed the device, it's a good device, TC works in multiple modes, and up to 200, and it addresses the issues you had with the regular one :)

I do think the ipv3 li is overall better built than the ipv4s. I do have the new Sig 150W tc and am in love with the feel of it.

Got the Reuleaux a couple days ago, and am impressed so far. Its small, feels great to hold and the chip is very accurate. I don't know if it will hold up like my Sigs and old ipv1 have, but I took my chances.

Reuleaux RX200? 200W, TC for Ni/Ti/SS, three 18650's, magnetic batt cover. I'm looking hard at that one myself for my next upgrade for a 100+Watt mod.

This^^^, I just picked up a black one 3 days ago and love it. I haven't used the temp yet but for my drippers and atlantis v2 it's been great. I did have some battery life issues on the first day (LG HE2) seemed too short, I did the firmware update mine was 1.03 and went to the 1.07. It seems to last a lot longer now and hits better, I'm actually running it a 54w with a .34 coil and 90w on a .17 coil. I was running it at 65w and 110w before the update. I played with the DNA variant but couldn't justify the extra $100, however if I had the 100 to spend, I probably would have cause I like to tinker. I got mine at a local shop for just under $80 which isn't too bad for a B&M, plus they give a 30 day in store warranty aside from the factory.

I stopped at the B&M today that stocks both the Reuleaux and the Fuchai. I'm going to look over their operation procedures again before I lock down. The Ipv4 is lurking in the shadows too.. I'm favoring the Reuleaux for the 3-battery capacity, even if it means six batteries instead of four for swap-sets. I walked out empty-handed mod-wise; not enough in the coffers at this point to do an impulse buy and I'm going to need to stock up on juice now that my Aromamizer is here. :)
