Did you fully disassemble it before cleaning and boiling it? Sounds like there might still be some machine oil hiding in there. I'd get the base fully disassembled for another cleaning.

My first Lemo 2 came bathed in machine oil, and it wasn't until after the 2nd scrubbing and 30 minute boil that I got rid of it all.

I hate that taste.

I will do it again by the sounds of it. I fully dissasembled every single part and then completely rebuilt. I will try soaking in rubbing alcohol first then boil all the parts. I thought maybe it had something to do with machine oil but wasn't sure.

Just leaves that rotten taste and I know it ain't the juice cause my lemo 2 is humming

Thanks

After taking apart I lost the damn airflow screw. Is it the center post I'm looking for from fasttech?

I also see they have the replacement part kit but I don't see that screw in there. Damn rookie

Any help would be awesome
Don't really think there is a need for that screw, been using 2 for ages without. If you were to get the airflow upgrade kit, there are not even threads. No leaks without, better air.. Good

I've ordered three Tobecco KV4's and all of them were almost pristine clean. If I sniff one of the new ones I can detect a slight metallic odor, but no oil feel or smell. They all just smell slightly like steel. I guess that doesn't mean that there's no oil residue in the pores of the metal, though.

I've only vaped one of them and never got an off taste. Still, I have an ultrasonic cleaner and probably should give them a bath with some dishwashing liquid followed by plain water.

Woohoo!!! Got it clean and now tastes the way it should. Works without the airflow screw which is good to know.

Instead of boiling it or using rubbing alcohol I used a trick I learned from my buddy who sells degreasers and cleaners.

COCA-COLA I let in soak in some Coke for about 8 hours and wow what a shine!! I guess that's why I never drink the stuff!

Thank again
