Tip for the heavy mixer, keeping new recipes organized.

I am new, so there may be better tips then this.

I sit down and usually mix a half dozen 5ml -10ml trials and use a crock to speed up the steep. So I have had up to 8 bottles cooking at one time. Once I break out the ingredients and have to deal with the cleanup I want to get the most bang for the buck. The problem I was having was knowing which bottle had the Strawberry cream at 6% vs which bottle had the Strawberry vanilla at 7%..or what have you.

I decided to use a china pen and marked a bunch of cobalt blue bottles and lettered them A-Z. That way I can have a bunch of mixes in the crock at onetime. I write down in my recipe book A= Recipe X and so fourth.

Once they are done and ready to be transferred to my plastic bottles I am them able to print a regular label off the printer and slap that on the plastic bottles.

I have one of those electronic labelers. You just punch in the flavor, strength, and it prints out a lable you stick on your juice. I got mine off amazon for about 16 dollars. It's called a brother electronic labler. It's really very handy. The tape that goes inside it is only around 7 bucks. It is really handy. And when your done with that flavor just peel the tape off the bottle and print your next lable! The electronic labler comes in super handy and I highly recommend it to everyone! It looks clean neat and professional. It's super easy to use. It's small and portable. You just buy the blank tape to go with it. I get that off amazon as well. It's a great idea to keep track of juice mixes this way. And for recipies I have a juice calculator app that has a place to store all my recipies in. It's great! Very easy.

thats a good idea for the crock pot thanks. I like the avery labels from walmart. super cheap and they stick well and come off easy and leave no "stickiness". you can just write on them or print them with cool little graphics if you want.

Yea, I am not sure I was clear. I don't like to heat up plastic, so I use glass bottles for cooking. Once the juice is cooked and steeped and ready to vape, I transfer into plastic bottles. Those I can use labels. The problem I was having was when I mixed up 8 batches in the cobalt bottles, was knowing which bottle had what flavor. I could't use labels as they would come off during a 4 hour crockpot bath. So I just gave each bottle a letter written with a china marker. That way I can have X amount of bottles in the crock and know what each one is. I find it easier and less hassle to make a bunch of "taster" mixes at once. I am anxiously awaiting to find a great mix and just make a large batch. Not there yet. Right now I am mixing only 10ml and 15ml batches.

I knew what you meant lol I just threw my 2 cents in on labels cuz realsis did. but yeah I like the idea of the those markers for the bottles. I usually keep them in glass afterwards also but the glass testers I have your idea would be awesome for.

Hahaha. I am a poor communicator, on the giving and receiving end. I can screw up the happy birthday tune!! And also misunderstand when the wife says "take out the trash." I thought she said "go mix up some juice".

ha, I just told my wife next time she goes to the craft store to pick me up some little paper sticky lables. I have about 20 new flavors I'm testing out right now, made a 10 ml batch of each to try out. It's getting real confusing remembering what bottle with what color lid translates to what flavor is actually in it! I usually write it down when I do this kind of stuff, but I was lazy this time.

I just use masking tape and a Sharpie marker. If I cooked mine I might go so far as to break out the nail polish and dot the glass.

dif coloured caps on plastic bottles work for me(writing down flav+colour) until I've finished washing and drying but prob not good for cooking juice in...

i'm still using masking tape for my labels
