so my friend made the mistake of picking up a blu. he hates it and has stated that the xhale o2 that i gave his brother is even a better unit. so i wanted to give him some tips to make it at least serviceable until he decides he actually wants to upgrade. please let me know if you have any other than what i have picked up during my browsing this forum...

1. buy some juice and just learn to drip. dont buy anymore prefilled carts.
2. look for 306 cartomizers. will a 306 atty be an improvement to the stock atty? just in case, since there can be a learning curve to using cartomizers for newbs.

Those are the 2 things that would improve the blu.

these are the 306 cartos that have worked well for me.

If you are going to use 306 attys you would need to get the 306 carts, unless you are going to drip.
Dripping on a blu you need to be very careful because of the hole in the auto batt.

I do strongly suggest cartos, they are super easy to use and will go through a few batt changes before you need to refill carto.

Just pop off the white top with a paper clip and drip around the sides.Make sure you don't over fill, put white top back on wipe it off and lightly blow through both sides and wipe off again. Then attach to batt and vape away.

I agree with the 306 cartos, the ones I used were these

Also, add some VG to the juice to get a little thicker vapor, every little bit helps with a blu... when he orders juice, make sure it's at least 30% VG.
Why a 306 and not a 510 carto?? - Same threads, is there an advantage with the 306 and will that work on any 510 adaptor??
Thanks

Yea 306 cartos is the best way to go i think. There is nothing wrong with the blu battery besides being automatic so the juice can get in there and fry it if you are not carefull. Its really the design of the cartridges the blu uses that makes it perform so bad.

Get your friend some 306 cartos and teach him how to refill it. Or do you not know either?

I'm currently using a Blu, and in my short experience, I've found a few things that make it MUCH better.

1. Between Vapes, keep the cigarette that is assembled you are using in the pack, and keep the pack UPRIGHT. Don't lay it on its side, as it will dry out the wicking of the atty. Upright, when you are on a break it keeps the atty moist with juice, much better vape.

2. Don't screw it to the battery super tight, just tight enough to be on. You'll be amazed at the difference that makes.

3. Change carts often, they don't last 7-15 cigs, but more like five.

4. When putting on a new cart, twist it after you click it on, then take it off. You'll see 9 times out of 10 a piece of foil at the top of the atty. Take that off, amazing vape.

5. To get a great hit off a blu, refill the carts. To refill, take a toothpick and stick it down into the bottom of the fill, and drip the juice down the toothpick. It will go straight into the batting. Keeping that batting moist with e-juice will make you a very happy camper.

6. Dip, don't drip. Use a clean empty contact lense case holder (can get at walmart or any eye care section), put the juice in a cup, and just dip the tip of your atty into it, cover with mouthpeice/cartridge, and vape away. Make sure to mark the lense case for that use, so no accidents happen of course.

7. Make sure the battery is not faulty. If your blu tip is going on and off while jiggling in the case, its faulty and not holding a good enough charge...... which equals sucky vapor.

Hope these tips help!

+1. I switched from the Blu to the 510, but I found just by using a different atty/carto on the Blu, I get a pretty successful vape (pretty massive clouds of vapor). I haven't vaped it til the battery died though, so I don't know if this will drain the batteries faster or not. Having the occasional convenience of auto batts (if you need both hands) and that nifty charging case is nice. Stick with it.. if you end up getting different cartos and you still don't like the Blu, you can get batteries for fairly cheap. Good luck!
