The one thing that really keeps me from enjoying my mech mods is the fact that it seems like I have to build extremely low resistance coils to get the warm vape I like, which of course drains the battery incredibly fast. I'm just curious if there's something I could do differently to improve my performance with higher resistances. I mainly use 24 and 26g kanthal, building at .5 and lower, best vape I've gotten so far on a mech is from .16 dual coils, which draws pretty close to the max continuous of the batteries I'm using. Does thinner wire help? Single coil or dual coil? Should I get a kick? Would love it if I could get a nice warm vape from coils in .5 to 1.0 ohm range but haven't figured it out yet.
EDIT: Someone suggested I try nichrome because it heats up faster and has a lower resistance, considering I'm trying to raise the resistance of my builds wouldn't this be redundant? Lol.
