I have been dry burning my coils with the wicks in, making sure the the wicks are moist with water when I do it so as to reduce the wicks burning too much. Recently I tried to take them out completely to remove any chance of over burning the wicks already installed, but I can't seem to get them back into the coils. The ends are frayed a bit making re inserting an almost impossible task. So does anyone have any tips on how to get them back into the coils?

(I tried to post in the "ask a veteran forum but for some reason my post did not end up getting posted. Sorry if this seems like it is in the wrong place, but this seemed like a good second place for me to post)

People usually rewick with cotton, but if you want to rewick with silica, people would buy a roll of silica wick for that.
There's a braided silica wick that less likely unravels than the regular silica rope.
