Hi All,

It seems that GotVapes is the goto company for easy to use, polyfil-free juice delivery systems. As with all things vaping, there seems to be an overwhelming amount of options. I'm in the market to try some.

I've been using DCT-style tanks pretty much exclusively since I started vaping. I love the fact that I don't have to constantly mess with dripping, topping off, cleaning every couple hours, etc., etc. The one problem I have is I'm becoming more and more turned off by the taste of polyfil in the regular cartos.

I know everyone has their favourites and welcome hearing about all of them. Please note that the Provari is my weapon of choice.

The ideal candidate for my tastes will be a low maintenance, high capacity system that is readily available and will be for the foreseeable future. I'd love to find something that would simply replace the regular cartos in my tanks if such a thing exists.

The Phoenix, the Vision Grande, the Fluxomizer, the Stardust....I see all over the place how people love these and they all look appealing to me. The Vision Stone looked like the perfect candidate for me but I think I read that they have been discontinued. The Vivi Nova looks real appealing but I've read where they have been troublesome for a lot of people.

I'd greatly appreciate recommendations from people who have used the various devices. I'd also like to know what kind of life can be expected from each of them. I tend to jump around between no less than 3 or 4 flavours on an average day and keep probably 7 or 8 in rotation so I'll certainly need to buy enough of whatever device to accommodate that while maintaining spare innards or kits for whatever I end up with.

TH is not incredibly important to me. I do enjoy lots of vapor and would love to get more flavour than I do with regular cartos.

Does anyone have any suggestions based on the info above?

Thanks in advance for any input. :toast:

What kind of battery will you be using?

For me, I'm all 808 which limits my options a bit, but between the various fenders I have tried the stardust type and like those the most, not so much for capacity, but for ease of filling. For me, though its a wide device and looks wierd on a stick battery and does not work for me on the go. So I stick to the stardust type for home use only.

I hate poly fill now and in the process of researching (Trying out) the other less wide varieties from different vendors that look normal on a stick battery (cig size).

From research, gotvapes has the latest and greatest so I placed an order today for both the fluxo's and the phonix (with adapter for my batteries).

The previous fluxo's (CE2) I have ordered from other vendors did not work quite so well out of the box (Burnt taste).

From reading other threads, I don't think there really is a perfect solution for the stick style batteries, but my search will continue.

Hope that helps a bit

Chris

I too use a Provari! I use the Stardust on it as well as a submarine tank w/1.7ohm Ressurector in it. Haven't tried the phoenix or the vivi nova on it yet but will before long. The Stardust at 4.0-4.2v is wonderful. You have to use the 510/ego adapter for it. Loads of vapor and flavor. The people that I have heard of having problems with the nova and phoenix I think are people that try to mod them for some reason. I have never had a problem with anything not working right out of the box. I still like the flavor and vapor from my submarine tank and have never had a problem with filler taste with them! Hope this helps!

I agree with Woody: RR Stardust on the Provari at 4.0-4.2 V is the best vape for me, period. Don't have to fiddle with it, tastes great, wicks great, looks pretty.

ViVis are a great design, and when they are restocked, it'll be with the new heads, so there'll be no more problems. I had a good experience with the ViVi, mostly, anyway, lots of people did. I really look forward to getting more heads. LOL And it looks totally cool on the Provari, especially with a SS drip tip.

If you don't mind cooler vape, Phoenix is wonderful - real easy to deal with, people love it.

There is more stuff coming down the pike shortly as well - Vision, it seems, is working overtime inventing and re-inventing stuff. Interesting times ahead. :D

Word of caution though: In the beginning you might find the taste a bit different. Some folks actually miss the harshness of polyfill. I have a theory about it, if you want to take a peek, here is the post:

I too was weary of the carto polyfill taste. I tried my first Stardust, and have not had a carto since. The Stardust is quite good, but imho, the Phoenix line is even better. I have the Phoenix XL and the 3ml. Both are superb on the provari. I have a very minimalistic 510 to ego adapter, and it is great for the 3ml. I seem to be preferring the 3ml version, simply for less need to refill. Performance is really spot on. It is a cooler vape - which I thought I would not appreciate. But honestly, with such good flavor and vapor production, it is great. I also bought 4 Nova tanks and have not even opened them yet. Mostly because I am completely happy with the Phoenix line.

P.S. The Phoenix XL does not hold as much, but you can fill up 2 or 3 carts for the day if you are a heavy vapor. They havent leaked on me yet in 2 weeks of use!

Well I'm a recent Provari convert and I've tried just about every carto clearo tanko atty out there and right now my favorites are the Phoenix, Stardust and I still love the Boges. The following are my own opinions from my experiences chain vaping.

The Phoenix 3ml is just awesome, best taste and vapor, mild TH. The smaller Phoenix is just as good but you have to fill more often obviously. Good excuse to have 20 filled and ready :)

~I loved the Cryptonite when it didn't leak, I wish it could be fixed but I think they are giving up on it.
~The Stardust is great too but I find the flavor more muted.
~The vivi nova tank is going to be great when they fix the heads, but right now I think it's a crapshoot on whether or not you get good attys. On the plus side, you can rebuild them.
~The visions are all great but the gurgling can be annoying.
~The old ce2's and the fluxos are ok and I have heard you can slot them and put into tanks but I've not bothered.
~The cute little bud sapphire, it works and serves it's purpose as emergency backup always ready to go but it's not great.

And coming soon I think I saw sumtin called the Scorpion that looks like it will be a cross between Stardust and Phoenix, and I'm definitely trying it out.

But right now if I had to choose one it would be the Phoenix. (and an ego adapter). But lucky for me I don't have to choose just one, I choose to use most of these all the time.

Oh and I personally don't like tanks due to the residue (dark liquid) build up that happens as you kill the coil.

GotVapes is definitely the place to go for filer-less cartos/tanks. IMO they have the widest selection and seem to be among the first to get new stuff in stock. Here's my take on some of the filer-less cartos tanks I tried:

Vision Grande: good vapor production and flavor, no leaks, but juice or condensation tends to accumulate between the top seal and the mouth piece resulting in juice-in-mouth.

Stardust: very close to perfect out of the box. Good wicking, no leaks, good vapor, but the draw is a bit tight for my taste and the flavor is somewhat muted. You need an eGo adapter to use it on a Provari.

Vision Stone: Vaped great, but mine leaked like a sieve at the battery connector.

VIVI Nova: I had high hopes for this, and if the new heads are going to live up to the hype they will be awesome. I had no leaks out of this tank, no gurgling, lots of vapor but the flavor was non-existent. I like the replaceable heads and the fact that the end-caps screw in so there is no chance of the tank coming apart in your pocket. Also the air is being drawn through a couple of holes in the side of the bottom cap rather than through the battery connector. That means that you can screw it down flush on the Provari without restricting air flow. And they do look great on a Provari.

CE2 Fluxomizers: Whether in a tank or by themselves, these are my go-to cartos. They are only OK out-of-the-box, but with a little mod-ing they are great. Great vapor, great flavor and the right amount of heat. They are easy to clean and dry burn and will last for weeks.

Thanks everyone for all the feedback!

Think I'll grab a box or two of the Phoenix and give them a whirl. I really want to try the Vivi too once it's back in stock. And the Scorpion looks very intriguing as well.

I'd really love to try the Stardust as I've heard such great things about it but the whole adapter thing doesn't appeal to me. It seems like every time I throw an adapter on something it restricts airflow so bad that it takes all the fun out of it.

I'll come back and let everyone know how it goes.

Thanks again!

well if airflow restriction is an issue for you than the stardust is likely to be a problem because it has a hellla tight draw. in fact the only way I enjoy it is with a regular 510 extender which opens the airflow up quite a bit but kind of defeats the purpose of the streamlined ego outer sleeve.
I am a total convert to the Phoenix bottom coils. its all I'm vaping right now. though I haven't tried the 3 mil yet (I like to change flavors too much and I mostly vape in front of my computer so refilling isn't an issue). the taste is great, tons of vapor, and I have yet to have one leak no matter how much abuse I put them through, and no gurgling or juice in the mouth, unlike all the other bottom coils I've tried. the one caveat is the slightly cooler hit from a bottom coil but I got used to that pretty quickly and am loving them.

It seems I waited a little too long to order. Everything appears to be out of stock now. No matter what I try to add to my cart, it says they don't have it. Guess I'll wait for the new batch of stuff to come in.

Well, I say that's your opportunity to try Stardusts - they are still available. :)

BTW, I disagree that they have an overly tight draw. No more so than smoking a tightly packed cigarette. I think most clearos have waaaay too loose a draw. Of course, if your eyes get sucked into your head, that's a problem - but that's not the case with the Stardust, unless it's a dud.

Also, I've been using it on an adaptor with my Provari since the beginning - and, honestly, I've never had that setup tighten the draw any. In fact, it seems to me the opposite is true.

But, anyways, there should be stuff arriving shortly, at least that's what Bad tells us.
