Good morning.

I've ran into some problems with my Titan 510. I have a two brand new batteries, a brand new atomizer, but for some reason I get only a little vape - about 5 proper inhales - even though the cartridge is full to its neck (using TW liquid). It seems like the atomizer isn't getting all the liquid from the cartridge - because it doesn't empty with those five inhales, it only takes a drop to refill it.

What could be the problem? Can cartridges die, too? They're about two months old.

Thank you very much,

Simon Templar

Well the cart body should last much monger than two months, unless you step on it, but the filler that comes stock has much to be desired. It sounds like the cart is not wicking well, and holding onto the liquid too much. There are many "cart mods" described here: PTB, ZFM, blue foam, etc. These all replace the fluval filler material with something else that wicks better. I use the ZFM mod (zero filler mod). PTB means pyramid tea bag. The blue foam is actaully a wad of aquarium filter material. I've also used facial sponge as a filler, which works better than fluval.

Do a search for these and try to find something that works for you. Each of these mods have variations on them, so there is much to be read!!

Kurt has given you sound advice!

I have two additional suggestions:

1) Forget carts and drip. Most cartridges are just not that effective in delivering e-liquid to the atomizer. In my never humble opinion;), the only effective cart is the cartomizer, which takes us to...

2) When direct dripping is inconvenient (e.g., when driving or "when the moment is right"), use cartomizers. The new 510 cartomizers can be purchased from LiteCigUSA, LiquidXpress, and VaporKings. I believe they carry the larger capacity hard black carts, about which I've read better things than the smaller capacity, soft tan carts.
