titan and innokin dual coil 30

i have a titan and innokin clear 30 and they both have wicks at top also the innokin is dual burner ,,,,why when i vape these units they have a very harsh throat hit? my kanger ts3 or any bottom coil units seem to give a smooth throat hit...can you pros back this up or whats going on with these so called fancy clearomizers

They can come across as harsher and a slightly warmer vape than something with a bottom coil. Less distance to travel etc
