While I ended up deciding not to buy a full 350Ti, I did pick up a "blemished" 350Ti tube, and it arrived a few days ago. As expected, there's not a single flaw on it whatsoever. This lil featherweight packs a punch, and will be perfect once David releases the hybrid top!!!

Looks great!

To be honest, I kind of wish I would have waited.. $400 for the Ti package or $50 for a blemished (not really as everyone is saying they are prefect) Ti tube and $120 for a Simplicity 18350 is only $170 for the setup..

I will never use the kicklet so I could have saved $230 smack-a-roos if I went the route you did..

I think that this is the first time that my frugality paid off. I still think that the $400 Ti package is well worth the money, but this pickup was a virtual steal. To be honest, my favorite part of this last SuperT purchase wasn't the Ti tube....it was the engraved drip tips!!! I can't believe how silky the texture is on them. I mean, they're literally so soft and smooth that it doesn't feel like SS!!! I've been hanging on to my last couple of OG shorty wide-mouth contoured DTs, but these are going to relegate those to the shelf. A buddy of mine ordered the Ti tube for his Simplicity and I asked him to get me 5 more engraved DTs!!!

I agree - I hardly touch my other super-t tips anymore. It's always one of the 4 engraved tips I have. I'm REALLY hoping to see a Titanium polished version with the same finish as the Ti 350. The finish on it is absolutely beautiful.

No surprise these are taking longer then anticipated. Polishing Titanium is a challenge, always getting "ghost" lines in it. I polish these first with 400 grit, then move up to 600 grit, then hit them with some mothers polish. Pretty much got the technique down. I should have the rest of them shipped by weeks end. They'll be going out everyday.

Didn't David say the thread sizes were different between the native Ti tubes and the blemishes? Wonder whether the Ti kiklet will fit the blemish tubes as well as the non?

Yes, only the locking ring threads were changed, top threads are the same.

I have lots of tips. Many Super-T. I don't have any of the engraved ones. My favorite is still the Super-T Tanbur Stainless Steel T-Tip.

The Tanbur is a beautiful tip. I gave one to Jerry my juice guy, he leads a very juice-centric hardware impaired life. He was amazed that such things existed, even were possible. He also claims that more than a year later it's still all he uses.

That explains it. The finish on these is exquisite. They look great, but the texture is what really does it for me. It almost feels like polished obsidian instead of metal.

Ah, so this is why no movement on the tracking? Appreciate the update :)
