I've owned a few titanium PV's, and this is the most well machined one. I think a lot of people struggle getting the titanium machined out this well - the walls are usually much thicker. The finish on it is absolutely outstanding as well. Definitely gave me the "holy crap" experience as I was taking it out of the felt pouch, that I've come to expect from a new super-t device.

I'd say the closest one (Mark Bugs Wizard) was actually very well done, and at a similar price point. I don't think that's a coincidence. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to titanium. If you're paying close to SS prices for titanium devices, its likely that you're going to get an inferior product.

That's what I've been waiting for - an appraisal by Mr. Titanium. That was probably the roughest purchase I've ever made because it was so hard to wrap my head around the pricetag with never having even seen anything made from titanium.

Now I'm excited!

WOW, for those without "movement" might I suggest.......

Seem as though the Super-T prescription provides the best relief:)

Hah! I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't help but think about that kind of "movement".

Speaking of movements, I almost had a movement when I unwrapped this beauty:

You are in for a treat my friend. I've sold all my other titanium devices because I couldn't justify the price, but I think this one is a keeper. The machining and finish quality makes this feel and look more like nice men's jewelry as opposed to a rugged metal tube. Also, as a satin guy, I was a little disappointed this wasn't going to be satin. But after seeing it and holding it, I've changed my mind. I'm really pleased with this.

Question for the masses...

Was there a run of AW IMR 18350's that were out of spec?

I ask because I currently have 6ea AW IMR 18350's in rotation. 4 fit like a glove and 2 rattle, rattle, rattle.

This is NOT an issue with the Ti and it's an obvious issue with the AW IMR's.

I thought that I remembered reading somewhere that there was a run of AW IMR's that were to short. If so, that would explain the 2 that I have that rattle..

No worries though as the problem children have been set aside for use with a different mod..
