Titanium wire ?'s

Hey guys and gals,
I'm a decently experienced Vaper, with plenty to learn. I've got the appropriate batteries, etc so my question is this:
Is titanium wire useable in temp control mode? I'm curious about both Gr 1 pure Ti, and esmokeguru's 92% alloy as I have both. Is there anything special I should know (aside from oxidation) about it?

I'll add that I'm using it on my ipv4, so any useful tidbits you peeps may have come across on the device are welcome as well, but I know it's still new lol

I have no idea which chipset the iPV4 runs, but I do know both Ti Gr 1 and esmokeguru's Ti res wire should be useful on the DNA40, as both the resistivity and temperature coefficient of resistance are programmed into it.

I think that was one of the chips that could be flashed via usb, so if it doesn't have ti natively you can prolly download it.

Personally I'd make a coil, set the temp to just under 600f or whatever lower temp is max, and see if it scorches cotton. If it doesn't, ti is prolly supported. If you have a small high temp probe you could stick the probe into the coil and fire 9 seconds continually and see if the probe temp reaches right about the setting after 3-5 minutes. It should.

Wouldn't I want to set my temp to 400 for that test since cottons burn/ignition point is around 410?

As far as flashing it, I wouldn't know how to properly do that. And I don't want to brick my brand new mod, even though they're relatively inexpensive lol

I just tried titanium wire "Spider Silk" on IPV4, worked well enough--small discrepancy on temp reading or maybe it was just me. The titanium heats up stoopid quick, crazy low resistance buddy built 9 wrap on Kuro and he said it was reading at .12 ohms. Stay safe people!

I am by No Means and Expert on TC and on Titanium Wire.

But on the Advise of someone who I believe is Very Researched in both, I bought some 28ga Titanium Grade 1 Wire after having Difficulties working with Ni200.

The Ti coils that I make, .5 Ohm - 3mm diameter, work Very Well on my TC Mod. The only thing that I need to do is set the Temperature Limit Down by about 100F. I run at about 310F with the Ti coils as compared to 420F for Ni200 coils.

I have heard that some Higher End TC Mods have a "Ti Mode" as well as a "Ni200 Mode". But mine doesn't. It is just an Inexpensive TC Mod (Kangxin VF Mini) I picked up to see what all the TC Hype was about.

But I works Very Well. And I have yet to get a Dry Hit using Ti Coil at 310F.

I use Ti on all my TP devices (IPV4, DNA40 and SX J chip) and it works real well. You have to decrease you temp setting when using TI. 24ga has been my best option, it is really easy to work with and 6 wraps on a 3mm bit produces a .21Ω coil between 300° and 320°. It's nice because it fits in almost every dripper or RTA I own including the Subtank Mini.

I've been using 26awg Ti Gr1, for a couple of weeks now in my Lemo 2 on the vaporflask.
It's about double the ohms of Ni200, using the steam engine 8 or 9 wraps on a 3mm rod gives a 0.37ohm coil.
I also use it on my Hana modz V3 with no problem with dry hits.
I can't see why it can't be used in place of Ni, or Kanthal, taking care not to let the juice run out.
I can't get the clouds I can with Kanthal, but I'm getting better with it.
The wicking certainly plays a big part in getting lots of vapour from the Lemo 1 and 2.
